Watcher is so absolutely right. How many times have those "realists" been absolutely wrong about something?

Yes, many of the posters on here are very optimistic. And why shouldn't they be? The vast majority of fans always see thier teams being better than they will be or more good things happening.

Then there are some who always seem to look at and/or see the negative side of everything. Those people I guess just don't ever want to have to face any kind of disappointment so they set thier goals and views low so they can't be. But they don't want to be looked at as being negative all the time so they've developed the term "realist" to make themselves feel better and hope it catches on and convinces a few others. Not gonna happen.

I agree. I am pessimistic on certain topics, and optimistic on others. And find myself in between on other things. So what is the inbetweens? Realists?

Maybe, but there has to be some middle ground. You can't always be positive like Sub and you can't always be negative like (sorry in advance) KCShox. (he isn't all the time, just most of the time to some people).

I'm not ALWAYS positive. I did ban myself from the board last year because I was so negative. But I get your point. FSF may be the better example of being always positive :D I'm not sure he's ever negative. Even when he may be he's quite positive.

When everyone is being an optimist, I find myself being taking the opposite viewpoint, and vice-versa. Gets confusing as hell.
