To me, that's pretty damn good work ethic.
I agree. Andre Johnson was a very quiet leader for the Texans. When the press interviewed him, he'd almost put you to sleep he was so flat-lined. No color, no panache, no exuberance. Rarely, if ever, did he express any emotion unless he was on the field. And once he was on the field, he was the fiercest competitor on the team. I only wish that Uncle Bob had drafted a quarterback nearly as good as Andre.

So there's an excellent example of a future HOF football player who didn't seem excited and did not generate much excitement when he spoke. He just worked his butt off and his results backed up his work ethic.

    • I think in games, it appears that Austin has that killer instinct and hunger that Fred had in games. Zach and Rashard just don't. I think it has more to do with the instinct and God-given IQ that seperates Austin and Fred from the others. Certainly doesn't mean our Jrs don't work hard.

This is all what we as fans can see. I'm not able to see behind closed doors.

I think that's a very solid take on all accounts.

        • My take on watching Austin is he not only wants on the hardwood, he knows whomever he faces does not phase or intimidate him one iota. Not everyday a Freshman walks in with that kind of spunk. The good news is with Shamet, we have 2 such Freshmen.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

            • Good news on the injury front. Looks like no damage from the dislocated shoulder. Will sit out tonight, but will be back with the team once pain is gone.

                        • Perhaps something we might need to learn more about:

                          http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/orthopaedic-surgery/specialty-areas/sports-medicine/conditions-we-treat/labral-tear-shoulder.html

                          http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/ortho...stability.html

Although the shoulder is the most movable joint in the body, it is also an unstable joint because of its range-of-motion.

                          • San Diego Chargers WR Tyrell Williams' shoulder injury is a right labrum issue.
Williams isn't expected to miss any time, but the Union-Tribune San Diego considers his on-field effectiveness "wait and see." Williams played through a torn right labrum his final season at Western Oregon in 2014. It can severely limit a receiver's catch radius. Without knowing how the injury will affect him, Williams should be considered on the WR2/3 borderline for Week 13.
