  • His passing is much more crisp and confident the last several games.

    • AR has such beautiful form on his shots, I expect everyone of them to swish through the net.

      • I found it interesting that Gregg had him bringing up the ball against soft pressure at crunch time. That's a vote of confidence.

Would like to see him dunk some of those breakaways.

Surprised he only got 10 minutes.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

        • On his first drive to the basket, the defender was astonish that AR went by almost effortlessly. No contest.

            • Does the above chart suggest we should at times try a line-up of 1.Smith 2. Austin 3. LS 4. Duf 5. Willis just for grins and then bring in Brown, RN, CF, Kelly and Shaq? We have so may options but we know when MM LS and Shaq are all on fire, the Shocks are very good.

Not to hijack, but how does that work within the context of our typical inseason conditioning? Guessing Austinbis on his own program? Can't imagine clean and press is a big part of his repertoire.

                      • As if we need someone from the nerd brigade (myself included) to show us with fancy numbers and what not, that Austin is a special player:
Austin's Ortg per Kenpom is 148.6, this leads the team. CF is second at 125ish.
If Austin qualified for kenpom's player rankings (played 40% of team's minutes) 148.6 would be good for 4th OVERALL.
The best Ortg's Shockers have produced in recent history -Joe Ragland ~127 in 2012, Ben Smith ~129 in 2011, FVV ~130 in 2014.

Now with more minutes and more usage (likely) that efficiency might go down but still, Holy smokes.

I don't see him being LESS efficient against the little sisters of the Valley.

                          • For anyone that wants to know, Coach Marshall said this on the Coach's Show Monday about Austin.

"He's a little above 6'5". He's maybe 6'6" in his shoes. That's what he's telling me now because he goes to the doctor a lot with these shoulders."

Does he ever say what he thinks of the crowd at home games? I'd be interested to hear a players thoughts that wasn't here before this year.
