I absolutely agree with this. If you earned your auto, you earned the right to play in the Round of 64. My only problem with it is there should be slightly less 13, 14 and 15 upsets. That is an accurate assumption, in theory?

Absolutely. I'm not quite sure what the NCAA's mindset is to punish the bottom 4 automatic bids that forces them not only to win their conference tournaments, but also have to win an extra game just to be in the bracket. As if it isn't hard enough getting into the thing with those conferences.

Sorry about your L last night to VCU. I was really pulling for you guys. You guys were in it for a while but VCU just started hitting all kinds of shots in the 2nd half.

It's ALWAYS VCU.
2004: Lost in the CAA tourney finals.
2007: Ditto (Maynor...)
2009: Ditto (not even close)
2010: Lost in the quarters
2011 and 2012: Lost in the semis
6 times in 9 seasons, including 5 in six seasons (2008 we won the tourney, as W&M knocked off VCU in the semis) and 4 straight years.
BTW, Marquise Moore (6-2 guard!) broke Will Thomas's single-season school rebounding record.

There's a good chance one of the following teams will be our first opponent in the tournament. I'd prefer not to play OK State again. Which one of the teams do Shocker fans think is a favorable match-up and which is a bad match-up?

Wisconsin, Dayton, Creighton, South Carolina, Miami, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Arkansas, VCU, Northwestern, Seton Hall, Michigan State, Marquette, and Xavier.

My preferences in no particular order would be Wisky, South Carolina, Miami, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Arkansas, and Northwestern. I have not analyzed matchups at all so that could alter my opinion. Creighton would be at the top of my list. I think that would be a good matchup favoring us.

Kansas is still the #1-seed for the Midwest Region

I like Lunardi's trend. One more step down, and they'd be in the 7-10 game, which sounds good to me; if they hit the jackpot and drop two more, they could land in the 6-11 sweet spot. If you're in either of those games, who cares whether you're wearing black or white?
