I'm not down on Anton. He's about what I expected--undersized, finesse post with some crafty moves. You thought he would put up his horizon numbers in the valley? The valley is bad but it's not the horizon, and he's the third or fourth option when he's on the floor now. Oh and remember when he basically died on the court? Yeah. No I feel pretty good about our frontcourt honestly. This is a really good team in all respects that had a bad showing tonight. But we need to respond to adversity better--I knew when it was first tied up that we would lose. There are two punches thrown in every game and we'd do well to learn how to throw both of them.

Who cares about publicity? lol, your trolling is weak garb. You gotta bring it better than that newb.Deuces Valley.

I know we all hate the Birds but they did play a pretty good non-con. Losing to Kentucky and SanDiego State and Maryland, playing all of them tough. Seems they have a knack for getting up for ranked teams. We've owned them over the last 5-6 years with some close games. The undefeated year we pulled one out our ass when we were bailed out by the kick heard round the world. This might be just what we needed. We will soon find out, next week will be a gut check week....

Bottom line is that Illinois State played well enough -- they rebounded, took care of the ball, and shot FTs well enough -- to win; and WSU didn't. Now the task is to shake this off, get back to playing Shocker basketball, and keep one disappointing loss from becoming two. This was pretty amazing (in a car wreck sort of way) and miserable to watch, but if something like this had to happen, better now than a month or six weeks from now.Last edited by WSUwatcher; February 7, 2016, 01:12 AM.
