I hope this speculation proves untrue.

      • Bench scoring: Shocks 45 - Bears 8. Markis, Conner, Rauna and Eric had 39 of the Shocks 45 bench points on 17-25 (68%) shooting. Poor shooting night for Fred and Ron but they did do a nice job of distributing the ball with a total of 15 assists between them (Fred - 8 + Ron -7).

The Shockers depth is definitely getting better as the year progresses.

I think this also shows that Fred and Ron are gaining confidence in the younger guys.

7 of our 10 rotational players have scored in double figures this year (all except Wessel, Kelly, and Nurger). Shamet, Taylor, and Hamilton have also scored in double figures this year, but are either injured or no longer in the rotation.

That's a really interesting stat, and Wessel, Kelly, and Nurger all scored in double digits at some point last season.

There are some pretty talented people on this board. Wonder if someone made a video of only the most egregious no calls in this game (should be plenty), showing the disparity in fouls and FTs, shipping it off to the Valley office would do any good or do more harm. Sure like to bring this BS to light. Those stripes were awful.

              • I wonder if Fred or 3G will start realizing that Fred can no longer barrel into the lane, jump into the defender and expect to get the call. It's not working. He needs to stop and pull up for the 6 footer.

As do I and it is important to note that my comment is pure speculation that is based on the perspective of a fervent booster. It does seem odd that a once sided pattern has developed, which is the basis of my off-cuff comment.

I agree but then it should be called consistently, both ways.

                    • We can talk foul calls and Ft's all you want, but what really matters is making the chances you get.

We could have gotten 10 more chances, but we would have been lucky to get 5 points out of that the way we have been making them.

Fouls called effect more than just chances to get points at the line. It impacts which players can be in the game, how many additional FTs you will get on future fouls, and how the other team feels they can play.

Right now, everyone thinks they can do anything they want to FVV and Baker. And the refs are spending the entire game saying, 'yep, you are right.'

FVV got f&cking roll-blocked last night on his way to the basket directly in front of an official. No call. It's getting beyond detrimental to the team's ability to win a given game. It's hurting Fred and Ron's stock as players at the next level. And frankly, it's getting dangerous.

Ron got a forearm to the face on a breakaway drive where they were literally the only players in sight ... and no call.
