You lol and haha a lot.
It's because I get a kick out of how worked up you get lol. You take things too personal. Relax... We are all on the same side here.

      How silly of me.
Using the same logic you're applying to this post, you would say that the committee looks at WSU's win over #8 Utah the same as it would look at a win over #49 Little Rock. They are both top 50. Would you agree with that then?

Interesting, when you've been on the 1 win Top 50 train. It's actually a Top 10 win. Why don't you call the positive what it is?

        We can play this game.

        • Just to clarify, the committee is given info summarized as "vs top 50", "vs 51-100", etc., but they are also given every single game result broken out from within the categories. Here is what the team sheets that they receive actually look like.

You can scroll to see WSU, currently #39 in RPI. Utah being #8 is made very clear, and even the 17 pt margin of victory is right there on the page, so the committee knows it was more than just a win over some random top 50 team, but was a high level top 50 team by a large margin.

How each committee member digests this data, and what other data, such as KenPom, they choose to utilize, is up to them. Most of the time there is no right answer to the question "does the committee look at X or Y?". We know exactly the format of the information they receive, but which areas are emphasized is a personal decision.

Thank you for making my point! I was applying the same logic Pie N Eye was using on my fringe top 100 comment to our #8 win, which I did not agree with. I totally agree that a victory against #8 holds more weight than a win against #49. The same way a win against a team in the 50's-60's hold more weight than a win against a team in the 90's.

Side note, do you need a hug? Lol you seem to be a very unhappy individual.

...Or the same as last year's win over #50 Tulsa -- it's why RPI means little, and why everyone associated with the selections realize that it does, and why they don't pay much attention to it.

It was earlier this morning I saw them at #42. I think they update daily at this point in the season.

                  • The bracket matrix usually takes about 48 hours after a game before the majority of its brackets have been updated to reflect game results. That means that most games played Wednesday or Thursday aren’t included in the current matrix. Here’s a quick look at how the games of the last 48 hours will likely affect the matrix in the coming hours/days. Hint: things look good.

Ranks listed below reflect bracket matrix order. I used RPI only in the case of teams not in the matrix.

Rank – Average Seed – Team – Losses in last 48 hours
                    #24 – 6.84 - Notre Dame – Lost at home to #7 Miami
                    #25 – 7.06 – Wisconsin
                    #26 – 7.08 - Dayton
                    #27 – 7.35 - Texas Tech – Blown out at #10 West Virginia
                    #28 – 7.48 - Seton Hall – Lost at #41 Butler
                    #29 - 7.73 - Colorado
                    #30 – 7.77 - St. Joseph’s – Lost at #43 St. Bonaventure
                    #31 – 8.68 - Pittsburgh – Lost at RPI #98 Virginia Tech
                    #32 – 8.80 - South Carolina – Lost at home to RPI #83 Georgia
                    #33 – 8.88 - WSU
                    #34 - 8.96 - USC
                    #35 – 9.26 - Providence
                    #36 – 9.42 - Oregon St – Lost at #34 USC
                    #37 – 9.70 - Syracuse
                    #38 – 9.71 - Vanderbilt
                    #39 – 9.78 - UConn – Blown out at RPI #12 SMU
                    #40 – 10.21 - Cincinnati – Lost at RPI #76 Houston

If WSU keeps winning, I think you see their seed on the matrix really start to go up over the next 3-5 days. They are currently the highest of the 9 seeds, and there has been a ton of carnage all around them in the past 48 hours. I find it hard to see how WSU climbs all the way into the top 24 and a 6 seed, but I think the top 28 and a 7 seed is very possible with an MVC Tourney Title.

                    • Lunardi updated his bracket today. I would dig this set-up like Kelly Broussard.

I would be very happy with that bracket too. Specially if a 7 seed is our ceiling.
