Pitt up 10 with 4 minutes left. Syracuse has some big wins against Duke, Texas A&M, Saint Bonaventure, Notre Dame and UCONN. More big wins then Pitt has but 3 losses to Pitt if they do not come back. Certainly a team right there on the bubble. More big wins than Monmouth. I really want Monmouth to make it if they had not lost those games to Army and Canisius I think they would be a lock. The problem is you can't expect a team that has to play that maybe games against sub 150 teams to win every one of them especially all the road games. When you play like 20 games vs 150+ teams you really can't expect to go 20-0.

I would expect it from WSU or any bubble team. That said, the problem wasn't an expectation to go 20-0. Losing 1 would have been one thing, but Monmouth LOST 3 TIMES TO TEAMS OUTSIDE THE TOP 200!
For reference, Monmouth is RPI 54. The other 9 teams between 51-60 combined to go 75-2 against such teams.
Monmouth has no one but themselves to blame. You gotta win those games, period. Gonzaga went 16-0 vs that group including 7 true road wins. Just do it.

For example, if KSU wins the big 12 tourney (laughable, but for the sake of argument), the odds that Iowa State, Baylor or TTU are the ones dropping out for them are really low. It really would just mean that they get 8 teams in instead of 7 and that's really bad for us. We really are done if that starts happening.
