I see us at 48 on the NCAA RPI page, but they also have SMU and Lewisville ahead of us, which would move us up two spots due to them both being ineligible.

Also, I don't know how often that updates, only says it was last updated on 3/10. Does have Pitt at 49.

WSU is shown as 46 now. The cool thing is that it also has a column for "in game", meaning if all games in progress became final. For example, Vandy is down in the 1st half to Tennessee right now. Vandy's RPI is 50, but their "in game RPI", assuming they lose, is 60, and there are red arrows to show the change assuming the current score holds. It is a nice tool for seeing if there are any games currently going on that are of interest.

      • Not sure if it helps or hurts but it looks like Iowa is going to lose to Illinois.

Cool. Thanks JH4P. And it looks like they still have SMU and Louisville in as well, which would effectively move us up to 44.

And it looks like we want Butler and Vandy to go ahead and lose.

I can't see any roundabout way that would help WSU

I wonder if that is why the "in game" shows us dropping to 47 with Gonzaga moving up to 46? Guess Iowa loss would hurt our RPI just a bit.

              • Looks like If San Diego State goes ahead and loses, they would fall to 46, moving us up to 45 now. Dammit JH4P, you shouldn't have showed me that site. It's like crack. lol

Or maybe not...just switched to them only falling to 45. Maybe Iowa wins and SDSU loses to move us up to 45. So many moving parts.

We want SD State to win more important there is 1 less bubble team.

                  • Dumb to foul with 7 seconds left now SD State might lose the game instead of worse case tie. You don't foul up 3 until under 4 seconds left.

No, we want SD State to win tomorrow and Saturday IF THEY WIN TODAY. Best is they lose today. In that case they are 100% behind the Shox in the committee's minds, and they fall behind the Shox in the RPI and let WSU move up 1 spot.

I'm not sure I agree with this logic. Utah St. isn't going to move to the bubble. If SDSU wins their tourney, great. If they don't, rather see them lose today

                        • After today, SD State becomes an at-large threat and we want them to win the tourney so they don't steal a bid. However, a loss today to a mid-100s team and they are out.

Unfortunately, looks like SD State will hold on. Up 1 with ball and 0:03 to go.

Actually if they lose tomorrow AND it happens to be to Nevada, then we are fine.

Probably true, although today was the last day I felt 100% comfortable with them losing. If I knew they would win the whole thing I would feel good. Just nervous they go to the finals and lose there.
