Here's what I come up with
      Category WSU Monmouth Edge?
      RPI 47 53 WSU
      Top 25 Wins/Losses 1-1
      Win: H vs (9) Utah
      Loss: N Vs (24) Iowa
      0-1
      Wins: None
      Loss: N (21) Dayton
      WSU
      26-50 0-3
      Win: None
      Loss: @(33) Seton Hall
      N (46) USC
      @(48) Tulsa
      2-1
      Win: N (37) Notre Dame
      N (46) USC
      Loss:
      @(46) USC
      MM
      51-100 3-3
      Win: @(71) UNI
      @(94) UE
      H(94) UE
      Loss:
      H(71) UNI
      N(71) UNI
      N(75) Alabama
      2-2
      Win: @(80) Iona
      @(99) UCLA
      Loss: H(80) Iona
      N(80)Iona
      WSU
      101-200 8-1 7-0 Push
      201+ 11-0 16-3 WSU
      NC SOS 12 94 WSU
      SOS 105 164 WSU
Road Record 9-3 13-4 Maybe MM?
      BPI 25 87 WSU
      KenPom 11 66 WSU
      KPI 36 82 WSU
      Sagarin 24 82 WSU
      NPI 17 24 WSU

See what I'm getting at? Sure they have a better overall record ... but that's mainly due to 8 addition 200+ games (3 of which they lost). Really their only category better than WSU is Top 26-50 record. Though they split with USC in there which diminishes that win a bit. I just don't see Monmouth having a better resume (or a WAY better) resume that some people have said.

        Mind numbing, actually.
        Deuces Valley.
        ... No really, deuces.

Still going to come down to upsets this week. The Houstons, LSU, Tulsa, etc. Right now I say Shox are in. If another team outside looking in wins out, I will get very concerned.

A lot of these conferences will have in effect play in games when they have two teams on the bubble. Someone else pointed that out yesterday.

AAC, Big 10 and PAC 10 to name a few.

            • Frankly the entire argument of Monmouth over us is a joke.

If Jerry Palm was a first responder people would be dead because he would be manually trying to read a map instead of using high tech GPS

True. But end of the day the MVC gets hosed even when resumes are stronger. The bubble sucks.

                  • For those concerned, rooting for St. Mary's tonight vs Gonzaga would definitely be the way to go. I think WSU's resume looks better than the loser of this game, regardless of which team loses. That said, St. Mary's is slightly ahead of Gonzaga, so better that they take the auto bid and the Zags are the one left needing an at large.

Thanks. I hate rooting against the Zags though. Why couldn't we have just won Arch Madness? Oh well, go Gaels.

                          • St. Mary's will not get an at-large if they lose. They have 18 wins against 200 plus RPI teams. Their best non-con win - UC Irvine. Simply not going to cut the mustard.

does gonzaga potentially winning the auto bid for their conference help or hurt WSU?
