  • Unless some power 5s steal bids, like if kstate won the big 12, I still feel really good about wsu getting in.

Lunardi countered by saying if the decision came down to Monmouth and their 3 Top 50 wins and a middling P5 school with their 3 or 4 Top 50 wins, he'd give the nod to Monmouth. Why? Monmouth doesn't get the same number of opportunities as middling P5 school does at Top 50 wins and Top 50 games at home. A P5 school with a 4-12 record vs. the Top 50 just doesn't do it for him, vs. a 3-1 or something like Monmouth. Some of these people just look at teams with 5 Top 50 wins and say they should be in. They don't look deeper and see that said team had 13 chances at Top 50 wins, with many on their home courts.

This point can be made about WSU as well and I made it in another thread. If WSU had 12 game against Top 50 opponents this year, and half of them were at home, I'd say WSU would have a pretty good chance at pulling out at least 6 of those. And boom, now WSU has 6 Top 50 wins. It's all about opportunities and the P5 schools stack them in their favor thanks to scheduling home garbage in the non-con and then playing all of these teams in conference.

      ... No really, deuces.

I'm depending upon your discretion, can you help a brutha out?
Can it really be called a 'mancave' if you have to wait for the 'Wife' to leave to consult shockernet?

See, I can make stats work for me too.
Made up stats don't count. "Non-con RPI is 100 pts higher than WSU's"? Where did you pull out that false stat?

For what it is worth, I think Lunardi is wrong about Monmouth. 95% chance they are out. 100% chance they are behind WSU.

I've seen quite a few media types say Monmouths resume is better and it's not close. I really don't get it? I look at it and can only find one thing better. They have 1 more top 50 win. Everything else is edge WSU.
