I agree, wouldn't that be great to see him and CU at Koch? WSU might be the only place he takes his team and the opposing crowd gives him a standing ovation. Dude is very well respected amongst Shocker faithful.

When we announce the lineups, we could have them read Coach Boyle's name first so the crowd can applaud. Then, once we get to his players, we can start the "who's that, who cares, big deal" stuff. If you announce the coach at the end of the player lineup, you will start catching applause that was meant for our team as we get ready to start reading our own players' names.

I think I'm getting ahead of myself a little bit. Maybe we should start by actually getting the game on the schedule. I wouldn't mind seeing a Colorado game even at IBA.

When Danny Manning coached for Tulsa at CKA, there was a very audible cheer for him after his name was announced.

If Tad ever coached the opposing team in Wichita, maybe the PA announcer could say, "Coaching the Buffaloes is former Shocker assistant Tad Boyle."

Might be a nice touch for the exhibition game since that coach is a Wichita native.

Not a problem, when I asked response was "nothing just taking care of my body with 2 practices a day"

1 guard and 1 big (prob a 4). Just not sharp with cuts, positioning on screens even when they were dummying secondary break and got beat several times in competitive session. Not going to mention names as I was a guest and allowed to watch, and I wouldn't want a random fan mentioning my name or my son's name like that on a public forum.

Understandable. Knowing their position is all the info I really needed. Helps clarify a little bit if our boys will make it. Was hoping both would be guards, but I'll take one! One less guy possibly beating out our boys.

                Thank you.

Ron and Fred feature article. I don't know if it necessarily says anything for the upcoming cuts, but in the last round of cuts apparently Ron and Fred's names were called really early for still being on the team:

After a couple of practice sessions, the Shockers were included among 16 finalists for the team that will compete in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada.

“It was nerve wracking,” Baker said. “But Fred and my names were called within the first three names, so the nervousness went away pretty quick. But sitting there in those seats, realizing that some people were unfortunate and going home while we are staying here made me feel pretty lucky.”

Tomorrow we find out if they made it! I think it's pretty safe to say they are keeping both the centers left, so that means there are 14 guys competing for 10 spots. 4 left are pg...

Can anyone tell me where in Colorado Springs the tryouts are being held? We are going to be there tomorrow and would love to go watch if they are still going on?

I'm pretty sure it is at the United States Olympic Complex Training Center.

Thanks. We'll try and find it. We're definitely having Shocker withdrawals and this might be a good fix to get us through the summer.
