  • It's kind hard to pick all the twitter names but it looks like Fred, Cousins, Dunham and Hayes were cut.

    • As shocker fans it's a little funny because we know how much of a winner Fred is. I feel like this is also probably a perfect foreshadowing of how the NBA draft would be.

But you know what? It's still awesome that RON MADE IT! (If so) And if Fred comes back sooner to wichita he will just go straight to work with OUR team now.

        How ironic.

        • Best point guard in the country can't make the team. I'm with Doc. I call BS. God forbid they have two guys from WSU, regardless if they're the two best options. Politics obviously plays as big of a role as winning does.

            • I'm shocked at no FVV. Almost as shocked no Nigel Hayes.

              • I guess it was too much to hope for, that the Team would pick two WSU players. Have to distribute the wealth, I suppose.

                • I have great respect for Mark and Tad...and do like Mark Few as well. That said, those three men better pray that their teams don't face us in March. Fred will drop a triple-double on them and delight in handing out an epic @$$ beating.

I guess they wanted the sage and wise washed up Bobby Brown...

                    • Dear A$$hats,

Thank you very much for slighting my vindictive All-American point guard the summer before his senior season.

                      • I'm willing to bet Fred isn't the only WSU player on the tryout roster that feels slighted.

                        • I didn't think that they would cut 2 Point Guards. I figured that Cousins would be cut but thought they would keep Brown, Trimble, and Fred.

                          • Is it possible Mark Few still has nightmares about Fred and therefore didn't want him around? You would think Few would want such a force for good on his side this time.

I suppose this provokes the basketball gods to match us up against Gonzaga in March...or April.

                            • Very disappointing for Fred, and as others have said, probably not a coincidence. Two Shockers out of 12 would have been pretty conspicuous, and this way no school has two guys. Spread that wealth around, as our Dear Leader in Washington told Joe the Plumber once upon a time. But the best and most competitive PG out there will now have even more motivation, as if he needs it; and WSU's new crew will benefit greatly from his presence this summer. I just hope he and Ron both make it through the summer healthy, and that Baker in particular doesn't wear down during the season.

This should ultimately help Fred in terms of not burning out physically (while keeping the fire burning bright mentally); and it will make a good performance by Frankamp once he's eligible, and by one of the new guys (Shamet?) even more important so Ron doesn't have to play too many minutes this season.

                              • Fred may not of made the team but his number did.
