Happy for Baker and shocked they did not keep Fred. These two play great together. This I do know. Fred will take this as pure motivation and not let it get to him but rather plow forward in his quest to reach his goals. Winners like Fred also have setbacks but these only help them strive all the more to win all the more. Another player we know wearing #23 got cut from a team when he was younger but that did not stop him in the big picture but rather motivated him. Likewise, FVV will turn this into a positive and come out swinging. That is what winners do and Fred is and will always be a proven winner.

Disappointed for Fred but I'm going to take a slightly different viewpoint on this, although I know I'm really just trying to make myself feel better. We need Fred at 100% this season. His BBIQ and understanding of 3G's playbook make him indispensable for this title run we're going on this year. I know he would have benefited from the international experience he would have picked up this summer but I was a bit worried about injury.
Now, as others have pointed out, he's got another chip on his shoulder. Jeez, these people just don't learn, do they?
Congratulations and good luck to Ron, at least they got one part of the roster right!

I am looking forward to watching Ron-great exposure for he and the school. Dog days of summer not too bad with the Royals and the Pan Am Games.

And yes, I like the idea of Fred staying "home" to school the youngsters, that's huge as well.

My only hope is that Ron will get some time at PG and show them how it's done.

You guys look at this as a negative...I look at it as adding fuel to a burning fire after a nuclear bomb...Not a good idea...Fred will be so motivated to prove the haters wrong...I pity those that have to face him this upcoming season
