Its not WSU fault but that doesn't mean the committee gives you a pass because you thought you scheduled quality teams. Your schedule is what it is, which is part of the seeding process. I'm not blaming WSU for their schedule just saying that's the main reason you got a 7 seed and not a 5 seed like many predicted.

A winning percentage against top 50 and top 100 teams is CONCRETE number maybe you can wrap your head around..

      Wichita State: Top 50 = .500 Top 100 = .670 -- Indiana: Top 50 = .308 Top 100 = .400

WAY sub .500 records against good teams is a shitty resume. This isn't hard to figure out. You play in a conference that is way better than the MVC. Want a cookie? You have a football team. Great, so what? Neither of those thing has anything to do with what resume or team is better. The only reason IU has more games against good teams is because of that. Period.

I can settle it right now for you, DaBull. Since WSU gets away with murder with the pudd MVC schedule and doesn't have to be tortured with the rough Big Ten, let's just trade places? You can have the easy games in the MVC, and we'll have all the money, exposure, recruiting advantages, etc. of being in the Big Ten. Deal?

I am sure your answer is NO, so since WSU cannot just join a better conference at the snap of a finger, how are we supposed to play a better overall schedule? Please enlighten us. Remember that we have to pay bills too and need 15 home games for our fanbase's season tickets. Big schools don't go on the road to play ten non-conference road games, so don't expect us to do the same.

71 to 116 isn't that big of a difference that you should expect more than a few extra losses if our teams have performed so similarly throughout the year as you'd like to argue.

I know these discussions are the kind that got Cold booted, but these are the discussions I miss Cold the most.
It is absolutely hilarious that a guy who has a team that schedule a 317 non conference schedule is mocking the fact that I used the word "buzzsaw" to describe the 64 that we scheduled and we expected it to be higher than that. I only used the word as a parallel in an effort to use good writing skills in the first place (not that mine are that great even when I'm trying), but when compared to 300+ it literally IS a buzzsaw. My whole point was that we schedule hard because we know we can win. They schedule light for the opposite reason.

So is your record. 13 losses. In 1 season. Say what you will about schedules, you have to go back 3 full seasons to reach that number for WSU. 2013 Ohio St. says hi and that the Big10 is way beyond WSU as well.

Such is life as an up and coming mid major. Again I'm not blaming WSU for their schedule. I know it goes beyond just calling up a P5 team and saying hey lets play each other. I'm not using it as a reason of why we're better or why we will win. I think it'll be a very good game and question if we have enough defense to win. And to be quite honest I hoped we missed the tournament all together, fired Crean, and went after Marshall.

Fair enough. I don't have a problem with you explaining why we may have gotten a 7 seed. I think I have more of a problem with you throwing our lack of opportunities at us like we don't belong as much as you do because you have 4 wins and we have 2 against the top 50. That's what started this. You threw your quality wins into the discussion, saying we don't have as much of a resume as you do and you left out your mass amounts of losses. Our resume is always in question because of the MVC. It's like a broken record every year. We can't help that, but I'd say we've done just fine in spite of it.

Fair enough. It was more a rant on the whole system rather than specifically at Indiana. As I told another IU fan in another thread, let's just agree that the winner needs to beat Kansas!

You can look at 317 all you want but LV, Gtown, Butler, Pitt and SMU in the pre conf are nothing to sneeze at!

IU already did all the sneezing there is to do with their apparently terrible allergy to road games.

As long as he stays out of foul trouble, which I think he will in this one, he has the potential to really abuse them inside. Same with Shaq IMHO. Shaq will have an issue potentially guarding on the perimiter. That is my only worry with him.

                              I like this matchup.
You know your post players better than we do. You'll get what they are capable of. 1 on 1 there will be little resistance at the rim, although help should collapse. If your posts can score with their backs to the basket, they should have fun.

If Hartman starts at the 5 (Perea is questionable), you can hide your worst perimeter defender on Troy Williams. He really only scores at the basket.

Offensively, you will score what you score. IU won't stand in the way there. You'll probably have to get to 70, though.
