I like this match up and I like that we are playing a non-con opponent that does not know every idiosyncrasy about our team. Unless we have another cold shooting spell we should win this game. I suppose the IU fans could say the same thing, but I will take our guards over theirs everyday of the week.

WSU VERSUS INDIANA PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME DISCUSSIONS

There are only TWO considerations for me going into the game Friday. First, the spread is
only five from the true experts and that tells me it will be a tough game. Secondly, as much
as GM will be saying don't overlook IU before getting a chance at KU that could be problematic
and make the game versus IU very close and dangerous.

It's very fair to say the Shockers are the better, more consistent team. IU has definitely underwhelmed but they did play a bit better in the Big Ten tournament than they have been lately.
IU has really struggled against teams with superior height and that's been a big cause of their poor peformance since January. The reason I like this matchup for Indiana is that WSU's doesn't have a ton of size inside. They will cause problems for Indiana with their bulk and strength but I'd rather deal with that then a 7-0 shotblocker.

"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Is there a pick 'em contest this year?"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

I would think Indiana on your jersey gets you some points for the vegas spread.

The real key is IU can be defended easily, but the strategy is not exactly conducive to your personnel or style of team/help-oriented defense. I really like Marshall and am curious to see what he comes up with.

And can we really call OSU (either one) a quality win at this point? Can you imagine the proud fans of KU coming over here to tell us that we don't have any good wins in a season where they are ranked #60 and barely a bubble team? Indiana should be prouder than that. This Bull guy is embarassing himself.Last edited by Dave Stalwart; March 16, 2015, 11:32 AM.

p.s. Imagine Wichita St. with "quality" 13 losses. I don't think we'd sniff the dance.

This could have been a 5/12 and nobody would have batted an eye. I am peeved at the nominal placement on the 7 line but can't argue with the opening round draw at all.
