New KWCH anchor picking Twitter fight with WSU

I have been reading ShockerNet for a long time but this deal finally caused me to register. lol I don't know what is going on with this station but whoever wrote that article they finally posted doesn't even know who is in MVC. I didn't know Northern Iowa was so obscure a team that the sports team on a station in Wichita thinks it is Northern Illinois. I have a feeling Coach Marshall will not be happy... He is a person who 'attends to the details'.

I know that was his wrinkle. Then what's the point of even putting a bet out there if you're just gonna go back on it after an hour? Why even say up to 1 year then? When he made the bet, he did not think there was any chance he was gonna lose. That's the point. Well, he lost. And instead of owning up to what was implied, he chickenshits around it based on the wording in it. Wow. He didn't post during the off-season. That takes some real talent there. When you lose a bet, especially one he didn't think he was gonna lose, it's supposed to hurt. Not posting in the off-season is something he does anyways. So essentially, when he broke his little "streak" of not posting, he didn't feel his loss one bit. He just continued on as usual. It's pure welch. If he didn't like it, then he shouldn't have opened his big mouth. Nobody forced him to post what he posted. He did that all by himself.

KWCH? They're a flushing toilet. It's too bad. They were really the only local station worth watching. This latest trick is just the icing on a building cake that has been getting taller year by year. Eventually, the cake gets too tall and it falls over.

It has been pointed out to Fever multiple times that KC was just trolling and used specific language intentionally to give himself full discretion how long to impose his ban. Fever would rather continue crusading on a lie than acknowledge that he is simply feeding a troll.

I didn't flame on him, like I really wanted to, however I reminded them of the power of social media and when commenting about anything the signature still has KWCH attached to it. I expressed my disappointment and thoughts this would be a black eye in a community that supports a top-15 basketball team. Fill up their mail box SNrs. We will be heard.

That's an important point, be firm and make the point, but be respectful and don't lower yourself to the level of troll that Will is.

I've liked KWCH's news and weather parts, but the sports area has really gone downhill and I usually turn the channel after the weather if I'm not already watching one of the other stations already. For some reason the news anchors and weather people stay around KWCH, but the sports department is a revolving door. Maybe people get here and realize KWCH's bread and butter for sports seems to be high school sports rather than college or pro - I wouldn't doubt part of the contract states you must mention the catch it kansas web site any time you're on the air for them.

It looks like they corrected it now. Probably after several tweets from Shocker fans. :)

Someone from there must be reading the board because within the last few minutes someone finally changed the Northern Illinois reference in the first paragraph to Northern Iowa.

Ironically, just at that page now and the ad at the top is for the KU Alumni Association.

Is someone willing to ask HCGM about this on the coach's show? I can imagine any coach who would call out a broadcaster for wearing a purple tie to a Shocker game might have some colorful things to say about Will and KWCH
