  • Every year, it's the same crap. A few higher ranked Power 5 teams get nice seed in mock brackets only to get shocked on Selection Sunday with a low seed or no bid. While media and fans get up in arms, a closer look shows that the team clearly has a poor non-conference strength of schedule. This isn't little (conference) man syndrome. The selection committee has actually done this regularly. This year, that team is Notre Dame. Don't get me wrong. The Irish will be dancing but whatever the prognosticators think, add about 3 or 4 to that number.

It really annoys me. It happens every single year, and yet every single year, the "experts" forget that.

So basically, the "experts" with no true power make a bunch of pro-BCS statements and then the selection committee (with real power) is fairly even handed in their actions.

I'd much prefer this than to have any amount of "balanced" coverage by "experts" at the expense of a committee who actually followed through with pro-BCS favoritism.

And a possible Turgeon match up thereafter.

Oh, I am much happier that the committee isn't stupid. I just wish the "experts" wouldn't spew crap like this and be annoying. When you call them out on it (like Mike Kennedy did), they act all omniscient and almighty, thinking they know what they are talking about. I'm not saying I think he is wrong. I'm saying that the committee's history shows he is wrong.

Correct, but rankings don't come into play.

            • Joe Lunardi has unfortunately combined an advanced stage of brain disease with very strong narcotics. He has 6 SEC teams in his bracket.

Unless the bracket has expanded to 128 teams, and there are 5 Valley teams also in, I call BS on this.

5 SEC teams is most likely, but 6 is very possible. All depends on how the bubble teams finish.

                • Anyone hear Jerry Palm on KGSO this morning?? He says if the Shox lose to UNI next weekend, the Shox are FIRMLY on the bubble and will need help to get in. WOW, this guy has taken stupidity to a whole new level.

BCS nonsense. CBS should not be paying him for what he does.

Palm is horrible, but I'm borderline calling BS.

Did he REALLY say that? You aren't making this up?

                      If so, wow.

                        • Whatever. They say Purdue is in.

AWFUL losses to North Florida and Gardner Webb....not 1 pass but 2 BAD losses. KState loss looks not so hot. Illinois isn't good. Neither is Vandy.

How do you offset those losses? By GOOD losses lol? HAMMERED by ND. Lost to Maryland and Wisky. Minnesota? NINE LOSSES. So there must be some really good wins right?

Samford, IUPUI, IUPFW, Grambling, Ark State, all at home. Doesn't really look impressive to me. Decent wins against BYU and NCState. I guess they get credit for beating Iowa (who's flipping awful btw) Indiana and OSU at home but sheesh. 1 road game in the non conference against a below average SEC team (where they really weren't competitive)....not challenging themselves in schedule or location. Solid but far from spectacular BIG10 slate. I just don't see it.

Someone else deserves a shot unless they finish at least 4 and 1 in conference (I think they go 2-3) and win a game in the BIG10 tourney, AT LEAST.

                            LMFAO!!!

I think I'd actually rather read a Jamar SOS thread than read anything Jerry Palm has to say.

                            • Just like Gottlieb and ******* before him, Palm knows that this fan base is vocal and fiercly loyal. What better way to futher oneself than to pick a fight for no reason.

Not make the tourney? It's BS and he knows it. He's rubbing his hands together waiting for those tweets to roll in.
