Yea the Duke - Miami game is a head turner, especially with some of the losses Miami has had. They are very athletic and like to play off the dribble. Caught some of the Alabama game, that last play to tie or win didn't look good from the start. Tulsa good win, Seton Hall lost a close one to Butler at home, I'm hoping they don't drop out of the top 25, seems like there is little room for error unless your from the power 5 conference and are a Blue Blood.

It seems that at some point in their careers these old coaching legends like coach K and Roy Williams decide coaching solid half court fundamental defense is no fun...they get great athletes and depend on length, athleticism and over playing to overwhelm teams defensively. It works against about 80% of opponents since they simply physically out match them and generally can out score them when the opponents guards don't piss themselves. It would be scary what a coach who is really committed to coaching defense (like Marshall) would do with that level of talent at their disposal.
Calapari is certainly the best at it, but he can't coach offense. He's simply the opposite of Williams and K where he depends entirely on guards who can break down lesser opponents off the bounce. When he doesn't have that, his teams look like crap at that end depending on 2nd shot offense to score.

This Miami team is so weird. They lose to a team like Eastern Kentucky, but then they beat Duke and take Virginia to double-overtime. At this rate, they'll beat Louisville twice and lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament to an 11 seed.

Was that a set play or was the "passer" just shooting and his teammate made a great play at the rim. In any case, quite a play.

Best part of the Miami - Duke game was the last few minutes.
Duke makes a run, and instead of running clock or waiting to get fouled, Miami looks to score.
No prevent defense, they break Duke's pressure and throw lobs to extend their lead to 20.
Turns Cameron Indoor into a morgue, Co-eds crying, it was beautiful."Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should accomplish with your ability."

Duke is 3 games into a stretch with 6 of 8 games on the road. So far, they are allowing 81ppg and are 1-2 against some decent but not great competition(RPIs 135, 33, 56). 4 of the next 5 are on the road including @Lville, @UVA, and @Notre Dame.
Will Duke be ranked by the time February rolls around?
