Poll Watch (2013-14 Edition)

I find who voted us where very interesting. Keep in mind that we finished 7th in the poll.
Among the "Big 5" coaches, minus Drew, we average 7.25 among the other 4. Apparently, Drew either mistakenly left us off or was seriously butt hurt being the only coach of the 32 to not vote us in the top 25. Note: His Baylor Bears finished 18th in the poll and he voted them 12th.
Among the next 8 conferences by RPI (BE, A-10, AAC, WCC, MWC, MVC, MAC, and C-USA), our average was 5.88 with Wookie being the outlier placing us 10th. Without Wookie, our average is 5.29. Note: Wookie must have been butt hurt about having a Valley team do so well. He also tried to lift his team who finished 20th by voting them 14th, one spot above Villanova who ended up 7 spots ahead of CU.
Now comes the interesting group. The rest of the mid-majors to low majors. Among these 19 coaches our average was 7.74, lowest of the three groups (minus idiot Drew). If you take two coaches out that had us 1st and 3rd, that average goes down to 8.41. This group had 7 of our 9 lowest rankings. It would appear, among the coaches of the Big 5 and next group of best conferences, that we were better respected by almost all of them than many of the coaches from this group.

We have a Big 5 coach, fanbase, facilities, and operating budget (lower side of Big 5 for sure). There's like half-a-dozen "mid-major" programs who can say that, if that many, so the rest are just butthurt.

I’m willing to listen to opposing viewpoints and give them a chance to convince me.
I am willing to listen to reasonable complaints from posters that I respect. For the sake of the good posters on this board, I stopped responding to Fever’s posts.
If the above points cause certain posters to dislike me, that’s on them. I am here to gain information. I am here to debate. I am here to have fun. I am not here with the goal of making friends.

I mentioned "win friends and influence people."
You chose to attack "win friends" and disregard "influence people."
Therein lies part of your problem with posters on this fine forum.
You may continue down the path of "I'm right and you are wrong" discourse, but in time, you will be arguing with yourself. There will not be anyone to discuss matters with you.

Ricky, the original Jamar was also a slow learner when it came to using honey instead of vinegar, in his on-court communications with the refs. His campaign manager is just following in his footsteps.
Sometime the Ignore setting is your best bet. I was reluctant, because sometimes JH4P makes interesting points -- but the proportion of good stuff to tiresome pettiness is just way too low to be worthwhile.
Meanwhile, back on topic -- is it possible that Scott Drew wasn't being ridiculous, and that he just messed up the way Tom Keegan from Lawrence did one week? Have I overlooked something?

So JH4P isn't here to make friends, he is here to argue. That is trolling. However, being a troll is not against posting guidelines. My best advise is to use that ignore button.
