Folks are pushing the panic button too early on rankings. We will continue moving up with fits and starts. You cannot put too much stock in any one particular week, especially when only one (or none) of the teams ahead of us lose. The Ls will start piling up for those teams in short order once their conference play begins.
Murray State rose as high as #9 in 2011-12, and they climbed more than 11 spots after conference play began. Don't assume that a week or two of stagnation is permanent- rather, it's pretty normal for this time of year (the lull between the exempt tournaments of feast week and the start of league play after Christmas).
