The Duke game was the first time Miami has played well in 3 weeks. They use a short rotation and are tired. I've seen them 3 times in person this year and would LOVE to draw them in the 2nd round- much, much, much moreso than Indiana, Duke (w/Kelly), Michigan State, Gonzaga, etc.
I would toss Georgetown in as another team that I'd be very pleased to be in the same pod with.

As much as I hate him, our pod is pretty nice.

Also- anyone else unable to view his page in Chrome? I can see it just fine in Explorer but it's annoying to have to switch.

I understand the doomsday predictions. If the field was 64 teams... We are not looking good. But the addition of four teams makes us look better. Not much better though. Look at the bubble teams. They just aren't really that good. Wsu is a little better I would say. A lot of current bubble teams just don't have a signature win. I say we are in. No matter who wins the Valley short a lot of upsets in other tournaments. What's one of the first things commitee members or mock selections process members say "we didn't really pay attention to conferences." Each team is judged individually.

1. KU
2. Miami
3. Duke
4. Georgetown/Louisville
5. Gonzaga
6. Florida
7. Indiana
8. Michigan
And I don't even want to even have a chance of facing Syracuse (the worst possible matchup for our team, bar none). My cut off line is probably Gonzaga. I think we have a fighter's chance against the first four I listed, but the other four create bad matchups and would probably give us a bad chance of winning. Miami is still the same team that lost to Indiana State, and I think they are very beatable

Miami is a good team but if I had to choose the really good team I want to play I'd pick them over Gonzaga, Indiana, etc.

However, we have the potential to do more damage to ourselves than most of those schools do. Win against MSU/SIU, and a loss against UNI or Illinois State won't do much to hurt us. Lose to MSU/SIU, and we drop our RPI a couple spots, get another 100+ loss, and finish the season at our lowest point in the public perception. There is the danger. Kentucky and Tennessee don't really have to worry about losing to a team like SIU, because they simply don't have the chance. La Salle, UMass, and Temple might have the same problem.

My personal opinion, I think we are in. We have a signature win against Creighton. We also have a bad loss to Southern Illinois. Our SOS wasn't great, but it wasn't pitiful either. I think even if we lose Friday (which could happen as inconsistent as this team is) we will still be in. I'm not ruling out the possibility of us being in one of the play-in games however.
