All kinds of blame here to go around. Bijan himself, whomever was advising him personally, our staff and department for not verifying whatever was told to them and even OU on a courtesy level for not warning us we were buying oceanfront property in Oklahoma because we didn’t perform our due diligence.

One key here is whether he was still eligible to drop Spring classes and still get a W. If he was in that window, maybe we tried to get OU to change the grade from F to W which would’ve solved a lot (and they said thanks but no).

When I was told that he probably would be eligible because he passed the requisite class, it was all supposed to be a formality at that point. So somewhere, somebody missed something within our ranks, even if they were given a different story. In the words of my buddy Ronnie Reagan: “Trust but verify”.

Does this mean DeGray can play immediately for at least the next two weeks?

Does it really impact Cortes since his was academic in nature?

I pulled this out into a new thread, but seems to only affect Degray. The way it reads, he should be eligible to play for at least the next 2 weeks

I understand Degray is a multi school transfer and his last stop was Missouri before coming here. Does anyone know where he was before Missouri?

I have a kid in college and she's called me crying multiple times about being stressed out. Most of the kids just need someone to talk to and keep their heads in the game. Growing up can be hard.
My son called home his freshman year saying it was too hard. He wanted to come home. He was attending a small 2 year liberal arts collage in the north Georgia mountains. When he graduated from Georgia Collage & State collage with his 1st 4 year degree, my wife framed a pen & ink of the school he went his freshman year with that email tape to the back. (Heree is a pic of the college he attended as a freshman.

So, DeGray can play for two weeks and blow up an entire year of eligibility?
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

                          Yes - he can play
no - he won't lose eligibility if they reverse it in 2 weeks

"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

WV AG is saying the full-year of eligibility is against the courts order. I feel like this is another opportunity for an NCAA L in court.

Since we are only in a 14 day TRO .. will we get the courts to actually SAY that before the 14 day TRO is up anyways though.

It definitely is. They should threaten a class action lawsuit post haste.
