keep in mind, JW had 23g and his buddy had 12g. Neither are significant.
Is it smart to mix pot and firearms? No. Is it a crime? That’s a grey area, and I’m unsure of the precedent in Alabama. Because it’s a federal crime, it’s not necessarily a state crime and is handled differently state by state. But like I said, the gun possession wasn’t criminal by state or city codes or they would have been added to the charges and nothing happened to the driver.
I know there are people on here more knowledgeable on this aspect of the law than me, but imo he was definitely singled out.

I was listening to an interview Tang did before the Sweet 16. He mentioned his AD coming to him in the late spring concerned because it didn’t look like he was going to be able to fill out his roster.
He said something along the lines of “we’re going to find the right guys.” Paraphrasing.
