    • How much better would y’all feel if we had a visionary leader like Doug Elgin holding our university’s future in his hands?

For that one brief moment when he told the conference members they had to meet certain standards for out of conference games or risk losing money I thought took guts and leadership. After that not so much

People come to law as conservative or liberal or somewhere in-between. The study of law doesn't usually change them, thus the idea of a "conservative law school" is ridiculous.

                  Agreed.

Regardless, there are too many law schools as it is. Enrollment is down. Law graduates depend almost entirely on the alumni network and/or school prestige to get work, and both of those take many years to achieve. It'd bee foolish to start a new law school absent a time machine.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

                  • To further derail this topic perhaps a school that teaches one on how to become a legislator or lobbyist it seems they wield the most power, are blatant about it to the dismay of no one and have access to billions in discretionary funding.

I think those schools are located in DC

                      • The idea that so-called liberal or conservative law schools exist is so fringe that statistician Nate Silver has an article on his site outlining the topic in an objective and quantified manner. That was just the most recognizable search result out of a large gamut of more industry-specific results.

If it is a nonsensical question then there sure are a lot of folks out there answering it, and I’m not talking about agitators looking for clicks.

                              • I just don't know how you can be proactive when we are at the mercy of everyone else. Unless he is making calls to the Big East, etc.
