But not sure either one of these guys are quite ready, although JR has terrific contacts and the Champions Room in Koch Arena is named after his grandparents.

If they had the experience that Sarah Adams has they would probably be at the top of the list of candidiates.
We need an experienced AD or Associate AD. There are roles for these guys in fund development and a new AD would be a fool not to include them in an advisory capacity at a minimum.

I’m going to throw my hat into the ring. My experience is ‘off the charts’ and I’ve been contacted by several search firms already. I will announce my Final 6 tomorrow at noon on Tweeter.

Normally I would say go after a successful AD at a lower level school, but I think we need an assistant AD from a school that has knocked NIL out of the park.

I agree. Someone who has been successful with helping shape the NIL for that university. We absolutely can’t have someone who isn’t willing to be proactive and passionate about getting as much as possible for our student athletes.

Thanks for that MKR. I would still give him a call. Ultimately, I would want the best assistant AD I could get from an SEC or ACC school. After that the Big 10 or whatever they are now.

I want a new AD built from the mold of Dr. Bardo. Someone with the courage and vision to boldly leap forward. Maintaining status quo in today's world is actually going backward. We've got to take some big chances or get lost in the fog of mediocrity.

Actually, it doesn't, since she is new, that is probably a positive for her - that means she is not tainted by the Marshall fiasco. Plus she now had time to see how the athletic department has been run by DB and would have a vision for the athletic department.

She has a lot of equity/diversity experience that makes you wonder if she was hired by Muma. If Muma had a hand in hiring her, she could already be his handpicked successor to DB. Muma may have been just waiting for the time to make the move. It is good though that Muma is doing a national search.

If she really wants the job, I expect you will be seeing her everywhere and you will be seeing repairing relationships with the important people. If she is just a caretaker until the new AD is hired, we won't even notice her.

I would dig through the Athletics Department at Oklahoma. All of their programs are clicking right now (poached both hoops coaches from the MVC and both were greatly improved in year one) and the influx of the new football staff has reinvigorated their spending and vision. I think there could be some diamonds in the rough in that department as I consider Joe Castiglione one of the premier ADs in the country. If that guy would recommend one of his underlings as a solid AD choice, I'd take em.
