At the risk of getting hundreds of quotes all flaming my post, I'm going to say this.
1. Gregg Marshall will never again coach WSU basketball under any circumstances. That bridge has been burned, dynamited, and nuked.
2. I love the "your mama" reference that ended up being an innuendo on what a poster would do to another posters 97-year-old mother.
3. Even if Boatright is gone, there is community and WSU staff feeling that Marshall's departure is a good thing.
4. Maybe it's PC - maybe it's woke, but there are people fed up with Marshall's bullying players - that's from WSU department heads, not me.
5. Lynn Marshall's getting escorted out of an NCAA tourney because of her drunken behavior is still remembered. Even her daughter, Maggie, said, "Give her a break, she's just drunk". I have a friend who was sitting in front of her at that game.
When the investigation started, the athletic department was screwed. There was no way to come out of it in a positive manner. I can't imagine a worse scenario than the one that resulted. On the academic side, there was a feeling that Marshall was giving WSU a bad rep. Those on that side fail to see the publicity that WSU gets from basketball.

People can feel how they want about 3G, but it’s indefensible that more heads didn’t roll if everything alleged was true. Selective justice at its finest.
