Schools of thought vary, but I personally would always call a timeout after making a bucket in that situation and would never call a timeout if I'm in Chattanooga's shoes.

Timeouts in that situation generally give an advantage to the defense to set themselves up.

So they can get a better look then a falling out of bounds 3 that far behind the line? I'll take my odds on that all day, every day. Calling timeout only lets them set up something, zero benefit.
