Once they finally showed the angle from the camera on top of the backboard it didn’t look like goaltending I thought

If corporate contributions are more important than butts in seats then mission accomplished. End of discussion.
Well my understanding is that the SASO board and other influential donors have stressed to the athletic department that their job and their ticket policies should be designed to maximize the dollars that can be made from the public, and therefore, limit the dollars that donors are asked to contribute to the Athletic Department out of their pockets.

Many if the 7500 faithful you speak of, aren’t capable of paying the maximized amount for those lower seats.

        • Pitt and Jamarius Burton fall to Monmouth and George Papas 56-52.

Jeff Capel’s days at Pitt: numbered.

          • I know our offense has been bad, but Iowa State beat 2-7 Jacksonville 47-37 earlier today. ISU forced 22 turnovers and still only scored 47 points.

I saw that and assumed it was either a typo or the game was suspended early for a positive Covid test that was late arriving.

Agreed, Jeff Capel's days are in fact numbered and that's a bad Pitt team (good football, great volleyball though this season) but to be fair, that's a decent Monmouth team. They're 8-2 with road wins at Towson, St. Joe's, Niagara, Canisius, Cincinnati and now Pitt. Lost a 2 point at Charlotte to open the season and a 5 point game at St. Johns. 6-2 road record is probably the most road wins in the country at this point. I feel bad for JB. Really good kid, and this is a crappy way for him to end his career. I'm still not positive why he left WSU, as he told me that "it's not how I wanted it to go" without providing more detail.

NCState misses a chance to flatter our wins vs wins by dropping an OT game to soon not #1 Purdue 82-72.

Baylor reminding everyone that they are in fact the king until someone beats them by handling Nova 57-36, The Bears are clearly deserving of the #1 slot for now.

The soon to be, if not already, cheating Danny Mannings beat a reeling Florida 70-68.

Hofstra doubled up the John Jay College of Criminal Justice (I just wanted to type the John Jay College of Criminal Justice) Fighting Bailbondsmen.102-51.

Future Conference mate UAB hammered Ronnie Milsap 103-29. Actually kind of impressed Ronnie scored 29, he's got to be in his 70s or 80s by now. On the surface, this seems like an unfair matchup and I trust the Blazers will upgrade their non-conference schedule immediately.

                K-State beat Green Bay 82-64.

Dana Altman is really struggling. His Ducks dropped another game, this time to Stanford 72-69. Oregon is 4-5 & 0-2 in the PAC12 with a horrible loss to ASU. That conference could be a 3 bid league. The Ducks started the season ranked but now facing a truckload more losses, are probably needing to win the post season tourney now to get into the dance.

Too bad. Jamarius has taken advantage of the new transfer rules and has moved on the past two years with 3 different teams. Has he become a focal part of the Pitt offense this year as he hoped? These new transfer rules have overwhelmed the NCAA with dissatisfied kids. I hope he finds his happy place.

He plays a ton of minutes, but hard to say if he's the focal point. He had a decent game today with 15 points on 7-12 shooting. 1 three, no FTs. But his team is bad.

He’s always played lots of minutes, but maybe now he plays more, and that’s enough. However, he’s been on winning teams at both places prior to Pitt. Pitt is 3-7. Hopefully, he has found contentment.

                      • Capel has gotten worse as he has changed jobs. Maybe he should have stayed at VCU but if you are a dookie its hard to stay at "that level"

As a matter of fact, that is not what I am talking about. What I am talking about is complaining about attendance. The folks not showing up aren’t listening anyway.
