2021-2022 Games of Interest

MTEs are great because there is usually a draw to get fanbases to travel…like a tropical location or some kind of tourist draw. I love our city as much as the next guy…but what’s the draw to convince 3 fanbases (preferably good ones) to play in an MTE in Wichita with WSU being an opponent? If you thought getting them to play one game in the 316 was tough, I bet this would be so much harder.

I don't care about other teams fans. I care about getting a home game that counts as neutral against good opponents.

While I admit that Kansas City is bigger and has more going on than Wichita, it’s still not exactly what I would call a tourist destination and they host a MTE every year with no problem.

Two things:

A) That event is tied to the college basketball HOF induction, so while not “touristy,” it is somewhat of a draw.

B) They always seem to have one team, if not two, from the surrounding region to help with ticket sales.

K-State is down 11 to Arkansas (which is an improvement over the 18 point halftime deficit) with ~8.5 minutes to go.
Jacksonville State is down 3 to Valpo with ~2 minutes to go.

Everybody knew that team wasn’t on same page. Heck seems like they openly talked about it especially right around that great comeback at SMU. However not till I read this did I really consider all the conflicting personalities on that team.

Our best non-con "win" may be our OT loss to Arizona. Our non-con has gone to crap. That's really gonna put the pressure on us during conference play.

Outside of this stretch, I can't believe the rest of our non-con is essentially a home slate of SWAC games. So pathetic.
