There is absolutely no guarantee we would have got in a commensurate conference to the level we were attempting to play. 1 because of geography. 2 because there was little or no interest in the program. 3 because the entire athletic department was near bankruptcy.

Public schools athletic departments have to pay for everything. It's one of the reasons you see funny numbers on those athletic budget pages.
