  • If HCGM stays, he might just as quickly re-commit. Who knows.

Just need this lawyers to come to a conclusion already.

    • Some quotes from the Sterling Chapman article - https://www.kwch.com/2020/11/13/camp...wichita-state/

“I committed and was ready to go play, it was like a weight was lifted off of my shoulders,” Chapman said. “But then all of the allegations came out and right now I don’t really know what is going on at the college that I am supposed to go to or my next step.”

“It’s kind of nerve wrecking with the situation not really knowing who will be the coach when I get there,” Chapman added.

“Coach Marshall has been nothing but respectful to us, the entire staff, too. We understand things like this can happen, but at this particular time we have to keep a cool head,” said Chapman’s father Les.

Chapman chose to attend Wichita State over Tulsa, SMU, and Grand Canyon University. And despite the announcement, Chapman notes that the Shockers are not out of the running as they watch the investigation play out.

So I read this as changing NOT due to allegations of abuse but as uncertainty with coaching staff. Ok.

Nothing wrong with your take AZ, you just tweaked BOBB a little bit with the Snowflake inference. He has to wear it though because his party is the propagator of that ideological scourge on civilization.

Allow me to carry your thoughts a little further down the road if I may...

Back in ancient history - and by ancient history I mean around 2017 (started with Weinstein & Me Too) and then back until the dawn of mankind - if you came under the leadership of a man like Gregg Marshall, you had two choices: 1) You could be forged into a weapon and move on to greater things in life, like the majority who've played for him; or 2) You could wash out and either learn your lesson later or never at all.

Subordinates have been personally suffering under strong leadership since Christ wore long pants and they sucked it up. I mean... who are they going to complain to? Their mom? Shaq tried that and his mom said get your fat ****ing ass back to practice. She knew what the big fella needed. He didn't. He still doesn't. There have been millions of young men and woman who have joined the military, athletics, or another highly competitive field and have been pushed to within - what they thought was - an inch of their life. Guess what? 99.9999876% survived and learned something very important about themselves in the process; they learned that they are stronger than they thought, and realize now that they have an edge over the competition because of it. Let me tell you from personal experience: it's a wonderful gift in life to work with a tough mentor. Mental weakness truly is the greatest roadblock holding you back from your dreams.

          Now on to Wichita State:

Mark Turgeon... Mark ****ing Turgeon was the greatest coach this program had seen in almost two decades. He pulled off a Cinderella run to the S16 and then promptly dumped us for Texas ****ing A&M the moment he realized he was just as good of a coach as he feared he was. We got lucky as hell with his replacement who had been committed to a job where he could control his environment. He figured he might be able to develop the same situation at Wichita - which he did. Since, he's turned down so many BCS jobs I've lost count. He took us to 7 NCAA's, a Final Four, and earned an AP coach of the year award. He did all this without one legit NBA player. No, FVV is a fluke. A little one at that. The Shockers in the 80's had legit NBA players (X, Carr, Levingston, Dreiling). Marshall gave us the greatest run in history without one legit NBA big man... think about that.

A school like Wichita State gets rid of a coach like Gregg Marshall if and ONLY IF one of the following 4 things occur: 1) He assaults someone - and by assault I mean the strict legal definition of it (reasonable fear of imminent harm); 2) He ****s a coed; 3) He commits a felony and can no longer be trusted to fulfill his duties; 4) he stops being effective at his job.

That's it. And on that sad day we wave goodbye and get ready for mediocrity.

Instead, we are waving goodbye to a once-in-a-lifetime coach, the likes of which, we will never see again all on account of him not adapting "to the times". And this is happening in dead center Bible Belt-Trump Country-Hicksville, Ks.

Who the **** do we think we are? LMFAO!??

We deserve exactly what we get.

A "report" of assault and a charge of assault are two different matters. Everybody misuses the term. Do you have a copy of the affidavit? For the charge of assault to hold up in court with Mr. Morris, Marshall would have had to approach him with a deadly weapon, or at least say he was going back to his office to get his gun or bat. Comparative physical size and "ability" to actually harm someone is taken into account.

If Marshal went up to a small staff member and started to scream at them and get right into their face he could be charged with assault even if he didn't touch them. That situation would be much more precarious than shoving or slapping his ball players. Morris could claim battery but he would be laughed out of the prosecutor's office. Maybe not in 2020 tho.

Poor Shaq... you poor wittle baby.

                Pu$$y.

I'm hopeful but realistic. Last week I'd have said 50/50. Today 1/99/

                          I'm laughing.

Battery is a criminal offense involving unlawful physical contact, distinct from assault which is the act of creating apprehension of such contact.

Battery is a specific common law misdemeanor, although the term is used more generally to refer to any unlawful offensive physical contact with another person, and may be a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the circumstances. Battery was defined at common law as "any unlawful and or unwanted touching of the person of another by the aggressor, or by a substance put in motion by him."[1] In more severe cases, and for all types in some jurisdictions, it is chiefly defined by statutory wording. Assessment of the severity of a battery is determined by local law.
If he touched the kid in the parking lot it might be misdemeanor-worthy. Kinda spooky to a Snowflake but in the grand scheme of things, a whole lot lower threat to society than a DWI.

If I walk up to you and poke my finger into your chest it could be deemed battery.

I've watched Gregg Marshall "batter" numerous players that he's had to pull out of a game during major mental eff-ups over the years. Maybe he belongs in prison.

My mom battered the **** out of me when I was a smart-assed little kid. Too bad it wasn't 2020 else I could have gotten the old gal locked up for it!

                          • It's like the ugly dude with the average job who's married to the fine ass wife because they both grew up in a small town and he was able to get his hooks in before she knew what her market value was. She becomes annoying and he thinks he's "Had enough!!!111" so he runs her off. 6 months later when he's on Tinder and the only thing he can get to swipe right on him is something that looks like it washed up on the beach dead, he starts to have second thoughts of just how lucky he was. Now he wants to reconcile and he has zero chance.

For the really slow ones amongst us:

Lol I’m not going to go that far BUT the idea that we are going to get rid of Marshall, hire another dude and keep the train rolling is not guaranteed by any means. It is certainly possible considering all that WSU has going for it but not a certainty.
