Bilas Index:2-26-2012
10. Wichita State Shockers
This may very well be the best Shocker team since Xavier McDaniel, Cliff Levingston and Aubrey Sherrod took the floor for Wichita State. Gregg Marshall has a team full of major conference talent, and this team plays hard and together. Toure' Murry is one of the best individual defenders in the country, and he is helping lead the best non-BCS conference team -- and one of the best overall teams -- in the country.

30. Creighton Bluejays
Entering this weekend, the Jays had led a grand total of 0.3 seconds in their past two games and won them both. Antoine Young hit a shot with 0.3 seconds left to beat Long Beach State, and Gregory Echenique tipped a ball in as time expired to force overtime against Evansville. Doug McDermott is now the third leading sophomore scorer in Missouri Valley Conference history, trailing only Oscar Robertson and Larry Bird. He is one of only three players to have scored at least 12 points in every single game this season along with West Virginia's Kevin Jones and Weber State's Damian Lillard.
"Valley-shaking, nation-waking 29-game win streak." - Paul Suellentrop, The Wichita Eagle

I've been noticing lately on ESPN that they often now refer to the 'bcs' conferences as the 'Power 6' conferences. At least with BCS, its just a designation, but with "power 6', now they are using a quantifying word right there in the title. The conclusion is that the teams in those conferences are 'more powerful' than the teams from other conferences.

If anybody had a good reason to add the Bluejays to the top 25 it is CBS Sports. A battle between 2 top 25 teams would be a much better story for their coverage of the Championship game on Sunday.
If they couldn't even make Seth Davis's ballot they probably won't be ranked.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.
