It's going to be interesting Monday.

Using the coach's poll:

#25 Notre Dame is getting beat by a bad Villanova club by 10 with less than 5 to go.
#24 Gonzaga lost to San Francisco 66-65.
#23 Mississippi State has lost 3 straight to Georgia, LSU and Auburn and not only won't be ranked, but should be out of bubble consideration.
#22 Virginia lost to a bad Clemson team by 12 earlier in the week.
#16 St. Mary's lost to Loyola Marymount AT HOME before losing to Murray State.

The Shocks are going to move way up in about 40 hours.

Villanova, like most of their season, has completely fallen apart and blown a big lead late to the Irish. ND now leads by 2 under a minute to go.

Don't forget that UNLV has now lost 3 of ther last 4 and that SDS has a 3 game losing streak losing 4 of their last 6.

Excellent point. SDSU was #15 in the last poll and UNLV was #11.

Wisconsin and Louisville also suffered losses, albeit to ranked teams.

A lot of pundits have been bagging on the coaches this past week about our exclusion in the poll. Combine that with a win on the East Coast on the Worldwide Sports Leader and we should be around 20 in the coaches this week. AP could see a jump up further than that.

Guys deserve all of this love. They appear to be focused regardless of the patting of their backs. Keep it up boys.

Top 20 in AP Poll is a sure thing, mark it down. I'm guessing we'll be #17 or 18.

Coaches Poll is iffier. Likely either #19 or 20.

Just tons and tons and tons and tons AND TONS of losses by teams ahead of us this week. If #20 Indiana bends over @ Iowa tomorrow it would cap an almost perfect week in terms of upward mobility for the Shocks.

Their students think they should. They stormed the court against a Big West school after trailing most of the game. That screams Top 25 to me.

Expect New Mexico to make a huge jump as well. At 22-4 they beat 2 ranked teams this week.

As of games through Saturday, February 18th kenpom has us at #10, New Mexico #9, KSU #25, UNLV #29, Creighton at #37, SDSt #61. What I thought was interesting was that in his top 10 teams only KU has a stronger NON-conference SOS at #49, ours is #66. Our current SOS sits at #78.
