In case you are interested in how SC did this year, go here:

No sense worrying about it. There are only two possible outcomes. He stays or he goes. Neiher of which any of us have any real control over. He will do what he thinks is best for himself and his family. He knows he is revered in Wichita and can probably retire from coaching here if he so choses.
As Doc says right now he is our Coach and he's coaching our Team in the NCAA Tournament. That is the only thing worthy of our focus at this time.
Maybe we will have something to worry about in the near future. Maybe not. I don't really buy into the opinions/rumors on the message boards one way or the other. It is not unheard of for "insiders" to put out misinformation in order to misdirect the actual trail they are on.
Simply unpredictable what might happen. I hope Coach Marshall stays. Would not be surprised either way.
Go Shocks! Beat VCU!

Agreed. Speculation is going to run rampant and we will of course here from GM's camp that he has not been approached or that has not heard anything from any other programs. Doing so at this time would be a huge distraction so close to the game. The only thing I will say is if GM leaves, I really hope our inbound recruits decide to stick with their commitment to the Shox - such a terrific recruiting class.

Just call the Kansas athletic dept. and ask to talk to Coach Barry Hinson (he will be the one answering the phone at the reception desk), and ask him if he would like to go back to the Valley....Just kidding. I see Creighton, Wichita State, UNI, SIU, Missouri State, all in the same mid major stepping stone school. If I was youre coach, I would leave to (no offense, you have a solid program), but I just dont know how schools like all of us in the Valley can compete with the $$$$ offered at large schools. I would think that if he does go that Danny Manning would ge a great fit for Wichita...just kidding about the Barry Hinson deal, although I would laugh my %#@ off if Tulsa hired him. Good luck to you guys in the big Dance...much respect

If South Carolina is smart they would be real interested in Coach Marshall and if Coach Marshall is smart, which we all know he is, he will stay as far from that job as he can get. He is too good of a coach for that job, they don't care, only care about football. Coach Marshall's personality would not jive well at a place where basketball played second fiddle to anything. Who knows about UCLA, that is a blue blood program, hard to turn that down, but they also have baggage with the recent SI article. I would think UCLA would look to one of the West Coast guys like Few or the guy at St.Marys, or Monson. NO WAY on Nebraska, that is a joke. Hard for me to really come up with a job that I think fits Marshall perfectly other than WSU, he just seems to be a perfect fit. I would imagine Duke and Carolina will hire someone from the tree, can't imagine they step outside the family.

The WSU/CU jobs are better than most middling BCS jobs
