IDK if it's been said, but what if WSU hired the biggest name in WSU's football history to bring WSU football back: The Big Tuna (aka Bill Parcells)

He and 3G's are already buddies, and cut from the same cloth.

WSU would have the best 1-2 punch of head coaches in the country.

That is the kind of move that could make the return of WSU football successful.

So? Bill Snyder is 76. Joe Pa coached to almost 85.

I'm not saying he's going to coach for a decade. Even just 3 years would help give WSU instant caché, before passing on the rains to a long-term option.

Yeah agree! Be freaking awesome! But he'd probably be 77-80 by the time we (WSU) would be in a position and ready for football. Hey...ya never know!!!

It would likely be at least two years before the first scholarship offer was extended and another year before the first snap in front of paying spectators. A three year commitment would put him at 80. I suspect he's probably enjoying his retirement and has no plans to change that.

Whether we could ever benefit from his recruiting/coaching skills, I would think his organizational skills and experience would be welvcome in establishing the program the right way.

This whole football at WSU is probably fantasy, but as for the Parcells posts, this makes sense and, if there is football in our future, an excellent idea.
