One of the tidbits I found most interesting so far was from ADDB's interview with Mike Kennedy before the baseball game. Since most schools' travel budgets for next school year were already set, we offered to reimburse the rest of the conference for some travel expenses so we could make the move immediately. That's some badass "makin' **** happen" stuff right there.

I agree. I thought this was one of his best articles, all time.

              • Do we still have to suckle on Cox's teet, in order to watch games at home?

                • So -- If KSU comes to Intrust to play Tulsa, do we show up in our Shocker gear to yell for Tulsa, our new conference mate?

Sure. Who wants to start the "AAC" chants?

So K-State will play Tulsa in a series in Wichita, but won't play WSU?

                        What a bunch of p*****.

That is exactly what I thought when I heard about it a while back.

                            • I just had lunch with someone in the athletic department. I asked him, "so how's life within the AAC?" He immediately replied, "don't use the term 'AAC'" I asked why not and he explained that they had been doing some research on the conference as a whole and found that the conference wants to be known as "The American" or "The American Conference" but not "AAC." He said many members don't want even the slightest possibility of being confused with the ACC. He also said, "We are The American, we are our own thing." I thought this was really interesting.
