Maybe, USNA can coordinate something with WSU Alumni Association for the Tulsa and/or SMU game? I would be happy to do a lot of the leg work. I know a couple of anchor knockers in the metro who would love it.“Losers Average Losers.” ― Paul Tudor Jones

Now all we have to do is worry about UCONN, Houston, Cincy and Memphis all leaving for a new conference within the next 3 years! ;)
(Even then it'd still be better than the what the MVC was becoming)
Maybe we'll be gone in the next 3 years :poster_wu:

When 16th ranked Navy played at Tulsa in 2015 the drew 22,750 to the 30,000 capacity Skelly Stadium. It would be interesting to see how close Shocker Middies could come to selling out the Stadium.
Not sure how you get the ball rolling on this but you should e-mail the WSU Alumni Assocation or the WSU Athletic Department and see what they think. Perhaps they can at least make some contacts with Navy and/or Tulsa/SMU. Tulsa in particular would be attractive to me.Last edited by 1972Shocker; April 7, 2017, 03:35 PM.

I'm sure they would have had Todd Butler there if he wasn't in Carbondale. :bball_spin:

Mike Aresco interview on Sirius
He really talked up our fan base and community support
AAC coaches are very excited...
Conference hasn't reached it's potential, this (move) helps
news very well received nationally
WSU will be real force very pleased to have them
Expansion not on table now
Regarding P5 expansion issue..."not a mid major in Basketball", make this the best home for members, $$$ payouts are the draw to P5 trying to improve this, WSU only solidifies it.
Bright future...
Has talked to Doug Elgen over last couple of weeks (friends over 35 years talks highly of him)
Doug understood, and Mike has been through what Doug is going through (nothing personal)
Mike actually was the guy who put the MVC championship on CBS (worked for CBS)
left some messages for Doug today
Kevin Ollie was very enthusiastic
Studied other sports carefully and not as big of impact as you would think
Baseball has 9 teams now but coaches are very excited and
Even Geno (Uconn Womens coach) is excited (wow)
