This is no good. Too refined. Needs to be a 2-bit operation that you don't really want to see to begin with but then hangs, buffers and skips throughout as you begrudgingly watch.

I was enrolled in ECU but ultimately decided to come back home to WSU. Still have a bit of a soft spot for the Pirates. Never in million would have thought we'd be in the same conference, but here we are! Hopefully the right administration will come in eventually get hoops turned around there.
Which Greenville? North or South Carolina? I spent about a month in Greenville, South Carolina - once on a data center review and another time on the follow-up (there were a lot of items needing correction).

I found Greenville, South Carolina to be a great place with lots of friendly people. I thought the downtown area was very rustic and tranquil. Sort of like something out of Andy Griffith. And if I remember correctly, the two are reasonably close (about 100 miles, as the crow flies) apart.

I hated flying in there, though. Unless you get a direct flight (and there are few), you had to fly into Charlotte (which is like the Bermuda Triangle - planes flew in but didn't fly out) or Atlanta (not going there, anyone who has flown into Atlanta and tried to get a connection already know it's a hot mess).

          • Cincy fan here.

First, a pending welcome to WSU. As a whole, the attitude of Cincy fans is excited to have Wichita St join the AAC. Cincy is desperate to play more good schools in basketball, and UC fans welcome this move, hopefully for next season. UC is a great school, with an above average undergrad reputation and an elite grad and research level reputation (in the public school context, and quite frankly, possibly without the context).

For UC related message boards, there are 3 main ones that are active:

The 247 sports (http://cincinnati.247sports.com/) one is active, but has some premium content. However, you can see a fair amount of threads, especially ones not related to recruiting or any specific stories written by staff. This is generally the most positive UC board. The Tigger of UC boards.

There is also the CSNBBS board (http://csnbbs.com/forum-404.html). This is a great board with a fair amount of activity. I've also always gotten a kick out of the fact that it's forum 404 on the site. This is generally the most negative UC board. The Eeyore of UC boards.

Finally, there is Bearcat Talk (http://www.bearcattalk.com/). Another great, active board to read the general psyche of the UC fans obsessed enough to post online. This board is all over the place. Filled with optimists, pessimists, and those who still quite can't get over Bob Huggins. I don't really have a character for this one. But it's great, feel free to check it out.

UC has some amazing facilities, with a historic and character filled football stadium that visiting fans love, a brand new baseball complex, and coming soon, an elite level arena. For basketball road trips, I highly recommend waiting til 2018-2019 if you want to make a trip, as the new arena will open then. Next year we are off campus, sharing space with NKU (which is a very nice arena in its own right). Link to the project information (https://www.uc.edu/fifth-third.html)

Hope to see you guys confirmed admitted soon. I'm excited to get some more quality basketball in the league. It really needs it.

It was Greenville, NC. Although I have been to the one in South Carolina too and you're right it's a nice place. Spent a lot of time in both Carolinas and love them both. I really miss going fishing with my buddies. All the towns in western NC remind me of Mayberry and people just as friendly as can be.

              • I'm struggling with all these other fan bases that have seen good basketball and actually want to share a league with WSU.

                It's mind-bottling.

                  • Some AAC schools boast a higher number of separate forums than most valley schools' number of good players. Very nice.

It will be an honor to be playing in the same conference as the Top 10 All Time basketball program.

No confirmed number as they are still figuring out the premium seating capacity, but I was fortunate enough to sit in front of our AD at the tournament in Hartford this year, and he said it is going to be 12k plus/minus a few hundred. That's down from our 13,176 from before the renovation, but this time, it will be all chairback seating.

It was nice to be there for sure. We are probably in the 12-18 range all time considering tournament performances as well.

UC fans are extremely hungry for more tournament success and we feel having more quality games in conference will get us there, hence the mostly positive reaction the AAC's move. Tourney's 7 straight years is nice, but we need more second weekend teams and hopefully final four #7. It's been far, far too long.

Ha! I'm actually waiting til official confirmation. I think I might've signed up on the cbbsb boards before when it first was created like 10 years ago.

Thankfully, I'm so over the trashy Valley board and it's anklebiter fans over there. Bunch of hypocritical crybabies.

No reason to not get off on the right foot at a real board. We're the noobs here. I know my place.

                              ... No really, deuces.
