There was an interesting theory postulated on this:

Russia has internal control of their credit system. Putin did this intentionally before invading. He declined allowing the two eastern territories from becoming part of Russia several years ago intentionally so that he could “liberate” them now with the intention of also taking strategic resources in Ukraine. The loss of troops allows him to impose severe civilian casualties such that Ukraine will cede these resource rich territories. Putin strengthens Russia’s place as the oil producer for Europe AND removes the dollar as the oil reserve currency in the process.

Not saying I totally buy it, but I’m curious.

Russia really gets it ass kicked really "quick", instead of just getting it's ass kicked over weaks in a proxy war. But NATO not going to invade Russia.

BTW, open source intelligence has documented the Russian have at least lost 18% of their tanks in Ukraine.

In fact the U.S., EU and NATO actually have tried to do everything that they could to integrate Russia into the world. NATO/EU still are trying to get Russia back on track with the world.

Normal people know this. The problem is Putin does not. Or at least, his angle to power and wealth is pretending and exploiting to the Russian people the opposite view. Not sure which it is. But one thing is for sure: He thought he had a porn star dong, but what he really has is a 3 incher with a lifetime supply of Viagra (nukes).

Admittedly Merkel does have a screw loose but for most Germans it was probably about money and complacency.

Following Zelenskyy's recent internet speech to the German Bundestag, there was apparently no discussion about the Ukraine just silence and later some little Bundestag member birthday celebrations. One Bundestag member described the session as one of the most disgusting things he had ever witnessed in the German parliament.

His sanctions are surely not lifted. Could this have just been a probe to see how the world reacts? Had we not been unified, he would have sent the "real" forces and taken Ukraine and then planned his next invasion?

I'd say the U.S. and NATO did a good job of fulfilling their mission. It's just too bad that Ukraine wasn't already a member.

7 buses full of Russian soldiers have shown up in Belarusus with radiation poisoning. They were digging in the forest around Chernobyl where the ground is radioactive.

Ukraine warned its negotiators not to eat, drink or even touch anything as they headed into talks with Russia in Istanbul on Tuesday, following allegations that Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich and others may have been poisoned during previous talks.

“I advise anyone going for negotiations with Russia not to eat or drink anything, preferably avoid touching surfaces,” said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview on national television channel, Ukrayina 24.
