        • Here’s a dozen times Joe Biden played a role in son Hunter’s business dealings

President Biden and the White House have repeatedly denied that he and Hunter Biden ever discussed the first son’s foreign business dealings, but The Post says otherwise.

Just now Biden said: “We need more refining capacity” and “This idea they don’t have oil to drill & to bring up is simply not true.” In fact, Biden killed a refinery on May 14 and killed a 1M acre oil & gas lease in Alaska in May 12.

                • Someone needs to ask the press secretary what steps the Biden administration has taking to end fossil fuels as promised on the campaign. Then if she lists any, ask why then, are they blaming high gas prices on Putin alone.

If she says they haven't taken any steps, grill them on why they haven't taken any steps to save the planet when most climate scientists have now, again given us less than 10 years to save the planet.

They are liars playing out of both sides of their ass.

                  • There hasn’t been a new refinery built on US soil since the 1970s. Several refineries closed in the last two years alone as they were no longer profitable, or would lose profitability due to required clean air regulations. In total, the US has lost 6% of its refining capacity in that time.

Operational refineries are producing at 95% capacity. The other 5% missing is due to routine maintenance, upgrades, and supply chain shortages.

No one believes that there is any profitability in US refining under this administration long term.

Curious as to how the boards of refiners foresaw the Biden administration 50 years into the future when making their investment decisions? Possibly more at work than the Biden administration? Would have had Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, Bush, and Trump admins for a good portion of those facilities’ useful lives.

This take is irrefutable. I firmly believe the world would be a better place had Gore or McCain beaten Bush, Romney had beaten Obama, and anybody had beaten Trump. We haven’t had the best people in office for a long time. Eisenhower, maybe?

But the lack of refinery capabilities didn't cause us to have $7.00 p/g prices, and probably $10.00 future prices ( or more), not to speak of extremely high Natural Gas prices to heat next winter.. If Biden hadn't killed the Canadian pipeline his first few months into his Presidency, threatened the Eastern U.S. pipeline when it ran into difficulties early in 2021, ended drilling on public lands, made statements that he was going to end fossil fuels soon, etc., the energy companies would have most likely spent the money to keep those last refineries in business, and made sure that our gradual transition to renewables was less painful. This movement by the left to immediately move to renewables, when we don't yet, have the technology to do it, is an elitist strategy, and could care less about middle and lower income Americans.

I'm not sure if Bobb is just defending the indefensible Biden, or if he truly believes that our transition to renewables should be as painful as possible.

Not sure how you got that. My contention is only that you cant blame lack of refining capacity at the feet of the current administration.

Regarding the transition to net zero carbon I don’t think it can be done without nuclear and carbon sequestration from fossil fuels. Any kind of knee jerk move to all renewables would create conditions to make the French Revolution look like Woodstock.

Crazy talk. Bush was far better than both those humps.

Probably. The war against female athletes and the disaster of healthcare reform wouldn't have occurred.

Trump was the greatest Chief Executive this country has ever seen. His ability to execute a vision is unparalleled.

Commander in Chief? I guess you gotta give that to FDR (though I personally hated his social politics). Maybe Abe, but it's so hard to compare.

Chief Legislator? I dunno who the greatest was. Reagan was probably the last great.
