The virus was circulating in NY for potentially several months before it went parabolic. He had no instruction manual. He attempted to minimize panic at the beginning. But eventually he learned and learned quickly that everything needed to be shut down. Trump never learned.

When you have the kind of population density that NYC "enjoys", it is very hard to stamp out an infection fire once it's widely spread. It's very hard to socially distance when you are living in an old apartment building with hundreds of other families. It's the worst of all scenarios. You'll notice from my diagram (in crayon) that it took roughly 8 weeks for control to be restored. This is the scientifically agreed upon time period necessary for lock downs to take effect and pending deaths to flush out of the infection cycle.

Despite our best efforts in the Midwest to thumb our nose at the virus, we eventually got ours. We should have never gotten ours though. We have all the geographic advantages. But one major obstacle was the clown in the Oval Office who contradicted the advice of the experts on a daily basis.
The same could be said for Trump. Why the double standard? Orange man bad? TDS?

It's science for Cuomo and just "stupidity and narcissism" for Trump. It's the leftist mentality that Clod has been indoctrinated in to. I always thought he was pretty dense and naive, but man he was duped so hard so fast.

Trump didn't learn, Trump rejected reality and used the pandemic to rally his base against said reality. Extra people died because of it.

Same for Cuomo. MANY extra people died unnecessarily because of his slow initial response and sending of elderly infected patients back to nursing homes.

            • This is a complete shame. It's what they want. You question them and don't fall in line, you suffer. Act like good little citizens and do what we say. March in unison good soldiers. It's all about governmental power and control. Anyone who can't see that is blind and will follow the rest of the sheep off the cliff.

A California doctor who was fired after questioning his county’s coronavirus stay-at-home orders spoke out to Fox News on Wednesday.

Dr. Michael Deboisblanc was removed from his post as trauma medical director for John Muir Health after writing a letter to health officials in Contra Costa County, Calif., that questioned the effectiveness of the county’s lockdown measures.

Deboisblanc told "America’s Newsroom" Wednesday a group of parents advocating for the reopening of schools in the area asked him to write the letter.

"All the data that I am aware of, looking at children and the virus, shows that it’s safe" to reopen schools, Debloisblanc told Sandra Smith. "There are many other states now that have months of track records showing that it’s safe for their kids to go back to school. And the state of California and the county is just not making that possible."

Deboisblanc wrote the letter along with Dr. Pete Mazolewski and Dr. Brian Hopkins. "The science is clear that more lockdowns lead to much more non COVID morbidity and mortality," the letter reads in part.

If the facts are on your side, it pays to keep repeating them. I'm trying to get through to you guys. It's okay to turn on Trump. Nobody is going to take away your membership card. Trump had his moments, both good and bad. He's going out on a low note for sure, but we still have the justice appointments. That should keep the wheels on the wagon if the next administration goes full Re/Libtard.

No instruction manual. No warning. China virus. Unprepared medical staff. Ultra-dense population. 8 weeks under control.

Did pretty well all things considered.

I'll make it simpler. If you, I, and all the top infectious disease specialists in the world were sitting in a room, you would sound like a crazy person to us no matter how many cherry-picked data sets you presented. The scientific method alone does not guarantee you have a point SB. I'm certain you can do wonders on a spreadsheet in the comfy confines of a cubicle with no sunlight, but without direction, you are lost. Most analysts do not have the capacity to see the forest from the trees. I am wired exactly opposite - but have enough training to not lose site of the trees.

                    Covid is real.

I will agree there was a cooperation between the two early on in the pandemic. If you'll remember, I was quite fine with Trump's handling of the crisis until he started to work against his advisors and disseminate dangerous information via Twitter. Trump was very serious at the start, even calling himself a "wartime president". Then he decided to change strategies. And we're learning now that he had a lot of influence from quacks. Once he got sideways in the road he doubled down (like he always does) and that's when the train went off the rails. Once I lost my love for the man, I saw many things about him I hadn't seen before - or wouldn't allow myself to see. He's a bad egg with great vitality and work ethic. I also think he may be Sociopathic. That makes him dangerous.

Will he get any credit? Doubtful...

Aww, C’mon. You have me scared with your “scary stuff” statement. Isn’t that your point? We are supposed to live scared and cower in a fetal position in the corner of the Basement of our house.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, admitted in a new interview that he’s been intentionally moving the goal posts on his recommendations regarding herd immunity based on what he thinks the American people are ready to hear.
And CLod whines why nobody believe the science.

Maybe one reason the goal posts keep moving is that that the "science" seems to be moving or perhaps it is just a battle of competing agendas.
