Idiot Fauci is so all over the place. Flip flopping again. And basing it on a "gut feeling". How's that for science?

Can't wait to punt this slime ball out of office. Already signed the petition. The strength of this is that there is support from both Democrats and Republicans to get rid of him.
Prov 3:9 LLC contributed $500,000, and Sequoia Capital's Douglas Leone and his wife Patricia Perkins-Leone contributed roughly $100,000.
A campaign to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom is picking up steam after individual donors offered tens of thousands of dollars each and scored $500,000 from an Irvine-based consulting firm.

Since 1911, Californians have attempted to recall their governor 55 times, but were successful only in 2003 against Gov. Gray Davis, who lost his special election to Arnold Schwarzenegger. That effort was propelled into the spotlight after Rep. Darrell Issa donated $2 million. After Prov 3:9 became the first major donor in the effort to recall Newsom, other big donors may step forward.
Fed up with the Democratic governor’s shutdown orders, which some found erratic, Rescue California organized to circulate petitions that call for Newsom’s governorship to be recalled and a special election to take place, well before the next governor’s race in November 2022. Newsom, currently in his first term, has not yet said if he plans to run again.

Here is a 9 minute video of some of this doctor's testimony:
Here is a longer video (32 minutes form that hearing):
Not sure this need to be in the Covid politics thread but since it involved Senate hearings I figured that's where it belongs.

Start texting me with URGENT these deaths need to be audited and I'll contribute today.
I would also respectfully point out that during the last surge in Houston (and also in other urban areas in Texas) that people died in their home from COVID. Where I live, if the cause of an unattended death is attributed to COVID, it is classified as such, but they wait for an 'official' determination from the state Epidemiologist. I'm not sure that is what is being done, say, in Houston.
The big question is whether there are more deaths from under-reporting than from over-reporting. If I guessed, I'd say over-reporting, but just wanted to point out that there is a way to more effectively manage the under-reporting aspect of this issue.
What are they doing in Wichita? Has it become a problem up there?

Can we at least all agree that there is a complete and measurable difference between dying with Covid and dying because of Covid?
Can we also agree that every single person that has perished from something else, and just happened to also have Covid is counted in the 300k+ number?
This country loses about 9000 people a day on average. I'm still interested in seeing the total deaths and where that number comes in compared to previous years (factored in for growth).
There's no way the total death number from Covid is under-inflated.
Every day that passes makes me more confident in my theory. The USA counts deaths differently than most, if not every country.
The USA is older than most countries. The USA is more obese, less healthy and more sedentary than most countries.
All of these factors will explain why the death count is worse here than people think it should be. It ain't Trump, and it ain't masks. That doesn't mean that Trump couldn't have handled it better, or that masks are worthless. Virus gonna virus.

There's a Slight Twist Regarding the Death of GOP Congressman Who Contracted COVID
Obviously, we still don't have all the facts regarding Congressman-Elect Letlow but things are always as straightforward as they are reported. Especially, if be reported with an agenda in mind.
In any case, very sad story.

Google "Covid excess deaths". Numerous countries come up as underreporting Covid deaths. We likely have one of the most accurate accounts, but when I checked months ago we were still likely underreporting by 50k or so. Covid kills people in obvious ways, but it also is a silent killer. Some even call it a blood disease. It will absolutely clot your ass up. That equates to unaccounted Covid deaths - particularly early in the pandemic.
Are some Covid deaths misattributed? Sure? Do you ever make any mistakes in life? But it is not a conspiracy and it absolutely does not exceed "excess deaths" which are essentially unreported Covid deaths.
Nobody knows when a person is ultimately going to die, some are "dying of cancer for years"; but a doctor of any experience, at this point in the pandemic, knows with better than average certainty if it was the Covid that finally stopped their clock. We are in a pandemic, it would be more deceptive to not mention the Covid infection because this person had been battling cancer than to mention it. Covid has a myriad of effects on the body, many are still not fully understood; but to see a rapid decline in a person of any condition alongside a recent Covid infection is lightyears beyond a coincidence.
I have a friend in the nursing home biz; she has told me about numerous relatively healthy residents who've tested positive for Covid and rapidly declined until death - many without even any respiratory symptoms. This virus is a straight-up killer for some people, and it is not the flu.
Let me know how your theory works out.

In any case, very sad story.Remember, the Left wants to see you dead. We shouldn’t be shocked by these reactions from progressives. It reveals the disturbed and horrid nature of American liberalism and how they wish death upon those with whom they share disagreements. Yet, it would appear that Letlow tragically passed away after suffering a heart attack during surgery (via NY Post):It’s irrelevant to speculate what kind of operation he was having since any surgery carries the risk of death. The point is that the story changed. The virus did not kill him per se—which is why if liberals were human beings and sent condolences, they wouldn’t be suffering whiplash from having their death wish narrative blow up in their faces. I can’t tell you how many people were saying, more or less, that Letlow either deserved to get sick (and die) because he didn’t wear a mask or something. Masks aren’t full-proof—and they don’t appear to be curbing the spread. This twist will probably be lost on the Left. There is nuance. Yes, Rep-Elect Letlow was fighting COVID, but it was a heart attack from an operation that killed him. There is a difference between dying with COVID and dying from COVID. You all know this, and we’re seeing some cases where people who were shot and killed are being listed as COVID deaths after discovering the victims had tested positive.
Thanks for sharing. :)
