The big Serb had 70 attacks against Rice last night so she is pretty clearly the go to workhorse for the Gamecocks.

Shocks finish off Set 1 25-18.

Neither Katie or Amanda played in Set 1. Kim Wadsworth and Emily Adney filling in very capably.

USC actually seems to be playing better since the big Serb went out with her injury.

This USC team is a tough, tough team.

Great come back by the Shocks from a 16-21 deficit to take their first lead at 24-23, but could not hold on as USC takes a 27-25 win in Set 2.

A service error by Sarah Mac at 24-23 took away the Shocker momentum (IMHO). Sarah's service game has been pretty inconsistent this year.

Still the Shocks had their chances to win regaining the lead at 25-24.

South Carolina has an experienced, mentally tough team. They are not going to go down easily.

Big 3rd set coming up.

A service error by Sarah Mac at 24-23 took away the Shocker momentum (IMHO). Sarah's service game has been pretty inconsistent this year.

Sarah has been up and down but when she is on, she is dominating.

And you are dead on about the serving, if not a little too nice. She has struggled with that one aspect so far this season. Not getting a serve in at that point was a killer.

Emily probably got bailed out right before that on a long serve that USC mistakenly played.

Service errors are keeping this team from being excellent so far this season.
