If this is the same kid that i saw playing for Scott Wedman's summer team, he is impressive. Nice foot movement and basic skills, getting up and down the court, with good passing. I'd take him now and call it a good recruiting class for the big's.Unleash Brett Burley, let all tremble before him!!!

With the attention this kid is getting, it sounds like he would be a great addition to this team. Here, he could step in right away, with his height. Places like KSU and UK might leave a couple of years on the pine before he sees much PT.

Discussions with a couple coaches I know indicates that the 2008 class is particularly thin in regards to big guys. Thus, you have a LOT of BcS'ers going after kids who would otherwise be looking at MVC schools et al. only. 2009 is supposed to be a good crop of bigs.
To me, the results of this will be LOTS of transfers of bigs from BcS schools after a year or two. In the meantime, BcS'ers can take a flyer on a big who may develop later.

Hold the phone, I said no such thing. I said that we really wanted another guy. I have no doubt that the staff would be happy with this kid, but I think we are on the outside looking in.
There is yet another big whose name has not surfaced that is more than intriguing, imho.
