K-State is one of the schools that have offered. He will visit Nebraska on Sept. 15, Northwestern on Sept. 29, K-State on October 6, Kentucky on Oct. 13 for Midnight Madness and Iowa State on October 20. He and his father must like football. They will take in football games each time except for the Kentucky trip. Stutz doesn't plan on signing in November. This lets Kentucky, Kansas and Marquette, who have not offered, see how he does at Kansas City, KN, North Hi. Stutz's father has been his coach the last two years at Plaza Heights Christian.

Yeah, no kidding. They were spotted at the Nebraska-Nevada game during an unofficial visit last weekend. They scheduled the "official" visit at Nebraska for 9/15, which just happens to be the Nebraska-USC game. A coincidence, I'm sure....

      Trop - check your PM.

According to Rivals he has offers from Arizona State, Iowa State, KSU, Neb, NW, SLU, SMU, SWOMO, St. Mary's (CA), Wichita State and N. AZ.

And being looked at by KU, UK, Marquette and Purdue. They only have the UK trip listed.

And they have him as a 3 star as well.

Although no offer from them yet, Kentucky appears to be very serious about Stutz. They are setting up a home visit for Stutz with Gillispie.

If this is the same kid that i saw playing for Scott Wedman's summer team, he is impressive. Nice foot movement and basic skills, getting up and down the court, with good passing. I'd take him now and call it a good recruiting class for the big's.

Evidently, he is going to UK Midnight Madness in October, and their blogs are reporting him to be 7'1" tall.

Wow, they sure grow fast these days... he's already grown a couple of inches in the last few weeks and could be 7' 5" by the end of the month.

With the attention this kid is getting, it sounds like he would be a great addition to this team. Here, he could step in right away, with his height. Places like KSU and UK might leave a couple of years on the pine before he sees much PT.

I saw someone on another board musing about this. They started referring to him as "Stilts" because every reference has him taller than the previous.

Discussions with a couple coaches I know indicates that the 2008 class is particularly thin in regards to big guys. Thus, you have a LOT of BcS'ers going after kids who would otherwise be looking at MVC schools et al. only. 2009 is supposed to be a good crop of bigs.

To me, the results of this will be LOTS of transfers of bigs from BcS schools after a year or two. In the meantime, BcS'ers can take a flyer on a big who may develop later.

Someday Husker fans will realize that they are BCS in name only. Their hoops program screams "sub mid-major."

Hold the phone, I said no such thing. I said that we really wanted another guy. I have no doubt that the staff would be happy with this kid, but I think we are on the outside looking in.

There is yet another big whose name has not surfaced that is more than intriguing, imho.
