    Yes, they are professionals...

You set it up on a tee, but I’ll let the sleeping dog lie… don’t want to get anyone’s 'shorts in a wad' on page 31 of the IH thread.

          OK, I give up?

One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

I don't think that is necessarily true. I think it comes down to scholarships. At this point, we can no longer send someone to Sunrise, or pull a scholarship from someone since they have enrolled and accepted the scholarships. Since we have no available scholarships, the only way for him to come to WSU would be to walk on. From my understanding, UK has a scholarship available. That is the difference (correct me if I'm wrong on this tropicalshox)

I'm no great fan of Calipari or Kentucky, but I believe in simple explanations wherever possible.

In this case, there are two issues:

                            1. Can Humphries reclassify, and does he want to?

                            2. If he does, does a given school have a scholarship available?

The first point applies to everyone, and should apply equally to all (and I'm not going to assume it doesn't). The second point would seem to be a problem for WSU in 2015-16, because the Shocks are full. That's not true everywhere, and if Kentucky has an opening they have an advantage if Humphries reclassifies. No cheating required.

I would agree, unless it's true, as I've heard, that WSU/Humph was unable to get him reclassified. If it follows that UK/Humph is able to gain that reclassification, then I will assume there is a bigger problem than being out of scholarships.

                              • I just made the mistake of assuming Kentucky was also full on scholarships. My bad.
