Obviously 3G is privy to details and information that none of us have access to. You know he is talking with NBA scouts. You know he has talked with certain players about their situations and plans. I'm sure he has a handle on the academic side of things. We can guess what might happen, but it's just that a guess.

My guess? 3G already has a very good idea of what is going to happen and has a Plan A, Plan B and Plan C at the ready to deal with any contingencies and unanticipated events. The Conner Frankamp situation may have thrown him a bit of a curve as that seemed to be surprise to most folks. OTOH, I think 3G has proven he can hit a D-1 curve ball quite well.

Could be an Oshon West situation. Remember him?

I think Mulder is coming and Frankamp is not, and that is nothing but speculation.

Then I guess it's a good thing you're not Shaq, Brown and or Glass. Personally I hope Shaq, Brown and or Glass are thinking about class and basketball, and not taking ecstasy and "sweatin". Shaq, Brown and or Glass are here working their butts off, and so far we've seen them in one scrimmage and one exhibition game. Shaq, Brown and or Glass deserve our patience and support far more than a bunch of high school players haven't even given a drop of sweat for WSU Basketball.

By the way, I had to look up "pop a molly and be sweatin". Figures, moronic rap crap.

With 15 scholarships committed for next year, I think:

                1. Baker is graduating and planning on playing professionally (either in the NBA, God willing, or elsewhere)
                2. Wessel is planning on graduating and getting a job or seeking a graduate degree elsewhere.
                3. Two players have been put on notice that they are the current number 12 and number 13 on the roster and that if #1 or #2 doesn't happen, then the coaching staff will help them find a better opportunity; OR two recruits (Shamet and McDuffie) have been made aware that if #1 and #2 doesn't happen, then they will be asked to attend prep school.
                4. Marshall is 90% confident that #1 and/or #2 will happen and that half #3 is likely.
                5. Marshall has discussed with Mulder and/or Frankamp the requirement of #1, 2, and 3 for them to be on scholarship in 2015-16 and is encouraging one or both to consider paying their own way for one year.

I think at least one will go to Sunrise. If I had to guess, it would McDuffie since he just turned 17. IF CF does come, it will be the Baker/Armstead route. I'm not yet convinced the Mulder announcement is completely real yet.

Okay --now someone in the know please explain that if a recruit signs with WSU but is asked to spend a year at Sunrise, who pays for him to attend. If WSU pays, would this be considered that recruit's redshirt year or does he still have 5 to play 4?

I wouldn't call myself in the know but I seriously doubt that WSU is contributing one dime to Sunrise to cover a player's schooling. Sounds like a clear violation of NCAA rules if there ever was one. Sunrise sounds great but does present the risk of a player re-opening his recruitment and signing with another school. I prefer a redshirt year at WSU just to eliminate that possiblity, but if that's what it takes then okay. A player used none of their college eligibility at prep shcool. Eric Hamilton, for example, still has 5 to play 4.

I don't think you take that chance of McDuffie prepping at Sunrise for a year. It opens up the chance that he decides to sign with a different school. That would be bad considering that they say he's still growing.

what if Baker and Wessel both graduate and stay to take graduate classes on their own dime. How many hours are they required to take in a semester for graduate work and still play ball. If I remember correctly Matt Linert at USC in football took only ball room dancing with his girlfriend and was eligible. If something like this is the case there would be little expense out of pocket for one class if that makes them eligible and boy what a stacked team that would be.

Just a thought and curious how that might work.

I was led to believe that many of the prep schools (albeit mostly in the east) have scholarships for these guys.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Good heavens, wufan. That may be the most elaborately detailed total speculation ever published on here.
