  • I knew Watson had lost his starting job, but it almost seems, from reading some of the posts, like he might be a bit of a head case.

And while I agree that White has been 'somewhat disappointing', I will also say it looks like he's figuring it out and will be a good contributor for us the next couple of years or so. I think you will see him producing near (or double) digit scoring and same figures for rebounds for his 20 minutes of play.

The one I'm not sure about is Lucile. When I have seen him in games, he seems lost and out of synch. His interior defense is a liability.

Also, for those of us who are from out of town, if you have any links to the material that caused you to make the comments about Watson, please link to it, I would like to read it.

That would fix our one over the limit situation. Doesn't do much for depth.

I haven't seen Coleby play but by all accounts, he's legit and should be our starting Center. A nice balance of O and D.
I like White. He does more good than bad. Busts his ass and is a smart player. Not the most athletic, but effective enough. Good bench guy.
Lufile played pretty well when given minutes late, but hasn't played in the last 4. But that's because White has been so good. Could be a decent bench guy.
Morris will be a force at some point. Would love to see him get minutes next year. Kerry is going to love working with him.

It's looking more and more like Cle may have to play more PF than expected next season. I could see a starting lineup look something like...

      PG - FVV
      SG - Baker
      SF - Cotton
      PF - Cle
      C - Coleby

That would give you a bench of
      PG - Bowles
      SG - Wessel
      SF - Wiggins/Green
      PF - White/Morris
      C - Coleby/Morris

Obviously our guards can play multiple positions so you could flip a few of them around. Baker may play a little point at times and I expect Holland to RS so he can gain some weight and get stronger. And I don't see us being in need of another shooter to prevent that.

Definitely going to need to bring in at least one and probably two more post players in '14 as Coleby, Cle and Lufile will all be leaving.

I'm gonna say 5. But there are times that the 4 and 5 are interchangeable. Morris moves well and can step out a little bit. He's working on extending his range but will be most effective on the block.

Maybe but I won't put anything past this coaching staff. I imagine that playing against men may have toughened DG up this year and even if he isn't a true 4 man neither is Cle a true 4. They both be more of a face up 4, that can post up mismatches occasionally.

Has anybody had the opportunity to determine if Green has bulked up in any meaningful way during the season? Colsby, also??

              • I don't think we are done recruiting....several good players left out there.

He still looks like a stickman to me. His feet still look slow in pregame drills, don't you think?

From 2 hours away, I usually don't get there in time to witness the pre-game much.
