I have a good feeling about this kid. With his size already, Kerry is going to have fun. And he's already pretty athletic for a big kid. This one is a keeper for sure. I may have to find time over the summer to get out to the Roundhouse and watch these guys play.

On the surface, I agree, I just think that post plaers are slower developers and I hope that Shaq would grow a couple of inches and be a great center for us for 4 years.
Also, you are forgetting about Derail Green, who would have year's experience after next year (note: I don't forget about Derail, especially since I'm from Houston and I think he will be a great player for us).

If Coleby and Watson are as good as advertised, we won't need Shaq next year. Redshirt him, let him develop and learn in practice, give him a year to build muscle, and unleash him as a RS freshman. It's been a long time since we've been able to redshirt a center and next year might be a good opportunity."It's amazing to watch Ron slide into that open area, Fred will find him and it's straight cash homie."--HCGM

And I'm not as confident about Watson as I was a year ago.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

I wouldn't just redshirt a player just to say he did that.
As I look at the inside players mentioned above, Lufile is so good that I haven't even been able to evaluate how good he is.
As others have said. Watson appears to be progressing slower than expected.
White had a good game last night against Missouri State, but his overall performance through this year has been inconsistant at best.
White was a player that came here as a 4th Team Parade All-American, I have been disappointed with his development so far.
Coleby should be all right. I have heard good things about him.
Green is an outside player, a 1,2, or 3.
Based on the fact that you have one reliable inside player, I wouldn't redshirt Morris.
The one player next year that I might redshirt wouuld be Holland.
